I'd considered doing that. The only problem is, if I paint the halo black then I would no longer be able to use the red painted top. IMHO, I prefer my red colored top with my red halo...
So the REAL question is: painted top with color-matched halo VS black/tinted top with black halo?

Definitely user-preference. I like the transparent on DSOM along with tinted windows. Found an insulated liner and highly recommend it. Keeps my car cool even in the Texas heat.

I put my transparent top on yesterday since the summer sun and warm weather are behind us and the clouds and rain are in the way. Then I spent a couple hours after I got home today detailing the car.
Man, that car looks great.
Still can't decide which I like better. What a nice problem to have.

The way I see it, the car looks best from the outside with the painted roof (at least in Victory Red... all Corvettes are red anyway, aren't they?).
BUT...
It looks nicer from the INSIDE with the tinted top.
