Default Check Engine codes help!!!

I keep getting codes P0300 Random misfire and P0171 system too lean bank 1. The car shakes (with a really strong gasoline odor) only at idling and/or chokes when starting on 1st gear from a stop, no issues under acceleration, down shifting, etc, the car feels responsive otherwise. So far I've put new plugs and wires, cleaned the MAF sensor, air filter, throttle body and checked for vacuum leaks. Mods are Vararam CAI, LT headers, Diablo tune, all done approx 3 years ago without any issues afterwards. Suggestions are appreciated. Vette is a 2005 with 89k miles on the clock btw.

Might also ask in the C6 Tech Forum.

As I read your post I thought, check the plug wires at both ends first. But if you put new plugs and wires in/on to try to fix the problem then obviously they aren't the problem. But try the Tech Forum too.

I would check for vacuum leak on the intake manifold. Spray some water around the gasket area. If it starts running rough it had a gasket leaking.

Had a similar problem. Changed the front O2 sensor and all is well now.

Rockauto for $39.
