i have used amsoil with great success in several of my previous cars. personally, i'd pop over onto bobistheoilguy and try to find some used oil analysis of amsoil in whichever engine your vette has, just to be safe.

I use the top of the line Amsoil ASL Series (premium grade) 5W-30 in all of my vehicles, including my GS.
Keep in mind Amsoil actually has three (3) unique grades of synthetic motor oil in 5W-30.
I follow the oil change frequency requirements as stated in my owners manual.
In reality is Amsoil ASL Series 5W-30 than any of the other top line full synthetic engine oils, who knows?
What convinced me was the Amsoil tech data sheets and comparison charts. I personally have a lot confidence in their products.

I won an Amsoil oil change as a door prize too and decided to use it. Doing fine just getting used to a C6 instead of a C5!

I have used Amsoil in the motor since my first oil change almost 7 years ago, Signature series 5-30.
I change the oil once a year with 4-5 thousand mile yearly average.
I do run Redline for the manual trans and differential.
75-140 for the differential as recommended by the upgraded diff manufacture, DTE.

Clearly biased as I also sell AMSOIL, but been using AMSOIL in everything I own from my 02 Z06 at the track to my John Deere since 2004. Very satisfied across the board.

In the white paper tests that are available out there online to compare oils, Amsoil always gets rated highest. Of course they are always commissioned by Amsoil. So this makes me a little skeptical.
But then Mobil 1 always seems to come out second, and Syntec third or fourth.. So for me any of those three, which ever I can get cheapest is what I use. That is usually Mobil 1.
I did have a friend who swore by Amsoil for his 2-stroke racing motorcycle. And admittedly, he did top ends and engines rebuilds much less often the the other racers. And ran a much lower mix ratio in his fuel with out any problems. I kept expecting the bike to seize and it never did. So I have to believe whether it is the very best or not, it is excellent and I would have no problem using it if was easily available at a reasonable cost.
Also one of the F-body clubs I was around did a serious test between Amsoil and Mobil 1 trying to decide if it was really safe to go to extended oil changes..
On a used Camaro, doing lab tests every 3000 miles and only adding to keep the levels up to normal, they found Mobil 1 didn't need to be changed until 12k miles and Amsoil didn't need to be changed until 15k miles.. But Amsoil did need a full quart more added in that time period.

Yes, Amsoil Signature Series 0w-30. A couple months after buying my 2013 GS w/they dry sump LS3 I changed to it. The car runs like a top (greased Owl Sh*t) I could not be happier w/an engine oil. W/Amsoil EA filter & Signature Series, it's a good piece of mind to know your oil is good for at least 15K.
