Default Clutch Reservoir Cap Leaking

Is the Clutch Reservoir Cap suppose to let air in when pressing the clutch? i was changing out the clutch fluid and i let my wife press it down 20-30 times and i was hearing air from the top of the cap. Is that normal or is the cap bad ? i have a 2007 c6 base

Air should not be entering or existing the system. If I remember there is a o ring in the cap. Check for damage and replace if necessary.

i got another answer from google
is said - The cap needs to be vented because when you press the pedal a small amount of fluid travels down to the slave, then as you release it travels back up again. So air needs to be able to move in and out of the cap

Yea I spoke to soon. It is a vented cap. Good news as you don’t have a problem.

Somewhat related, my brake MC cap would leak a little. New O ring fixed it. Although cap may be vented, I would change out clutch MC O ring for cheap insurance.
Did you upgrade your clutch MC to upgraded part?
