I like the optima red top battery, but if you do not drive your car a lot, maybe think about getting a battery tender.

AC Delco Gold Series. I wouldn't put a Die-Easy in my lawn mower. Interstate is good also.

Optima red top for me. The difference in cranking power is crazy and they were having a deal on a free tender too.

AC Delco.

You guys are really showing your age today... Sears.
I can remember when they sold quality merchandise.
That is not true these days.

Die-Hard and Interstate are both made by the same company - Johnson Controls. Johnson Controls also makes all of the Optima's. I prefer Interstate. I've never had an issue with one and there is very likely a dealer within walking distance of just about everywhere. Plug in a zip code, ANY zip code and see - http://www.interstatebatteries.com/d...r/default.aspx Now try that with Sears or even a GM dealer.

Red top optima for me. When spring time comes i'm ditching the stock battery for one.

Ran a red top in my last car. Flawless.

I understand that you are not asking about Delco's but I have used them for decades. Even use the voyager in my boats. Never any issues, not even with the one in my 07 that will be 8 years old on January 2nd. A good Ctek tender (which I use on my vehicles that are GQ's) will give you extended life out of ANY battery if your car is not driven daily, FWIW.

Same plan for me in my 2011 GS... plan on replacing it before it is a problem.

Sounds like when I need one I'll go with the Optima but when I needed one for a Trans Am, I bought an Autozone and after eight years it was still going strong when I traded it in for the Vette!

I'm a cheap skate always looking for a good deal....so it's Costco and Walmart. 6 year warranty with the first 3 years at no charge (sic).

Regarding CTEK battery tender, consider their US 4.3 over the 3300. Comparable price with 8 stage charging and 4.3 amps vs 3 stage and 3.3 amps.

A great holiday to all and keep the shiney side up.
