Default Lost a Sale on a Red z51 to a guy out of State

Hey Guys, I had an 05 c6 and I LOVED it, I sold it 4 years ago and I'd like to get back into a 2005 - 2008 Red Corvette.

Yesterday I looked at this Red 2005 z51 for $29,500 and went back today but they said they sold it to a guy in Denver and he is buying it site unseen; I was surprised.

Needs to be
  • Red
  • 6 speed
  • z51 package
  • w/ Nav
  • Heads up Display is a must, is that 3LT package?

Yes,but in 05 it's 1SB not 3LT yet. That came in 06.There is a red 08 FOR ABOUT THE SAME MONEY in Albany NY with something like 11000 miles on it but it's not a 3lt.HUD can be added cheaply. 29,500 is to much for an 05.

I'm all for 05's and LS2's, but that is way too much for that car. There will be others and probably a few g's cheaper

Would LOVE an 08, ls3 vs. ls2 I had, I just need to be patient. Open to options and willing to Drive, I prefer a Dealer vs. Private Party but am open.

He did you a favor. As an '05 owner, if I had to do it again I would only buy a 06+.

I'm going to disagree with others on here and say that it is a little over priced but not by much. It only has 13k miles not 75k and is an 1SB (3lt) not a 1lt. It probably should be around 26/27 with a vert being closer to 30. I am still seeing C5s in the low to mid 20s with mileage in the 30 to 50k range.

I had an 05 and loved it, but yes I am trying to be patient and look at even 08's and possibly pay a little more for an LS3 vs. get the same car I had a few years ago.

Blessing in disquise I didn't get that 05, there are a lot of nice 08+'s out there.

3 questions.
1. What is the below 2 tone interior option called, I like that a lot.
2. Same for steering wheel radio controls, that isn't on all models right?
3. I'd like Heads up Display. What model has that, if a vehicle doesn't have Heads Up Display, can that be purchased and added or is it factory only?

Two tone seats first became available in 07 (846 is the code for the color above). Radio controls on the steering wheel in 07 too.

For the two tone there were three options:

gray/black
red/black
tan/black

Then there was black, tan, red, gray that weren't two tone.

Lots of good info here on model year changes:

Or you can pick up a Corvette Black Book.

I guess I gave my car away. I traded an 05 for my 06 Z06. They gave me $20k trade in. It was a 1SB, had a 250w JBL amp and sub, + lots of extra goodies. I wish I had it back, it was a great car.

2009 Z51 3lt a6 npp 2 tone seatsI paid 33500 in jan. of 2014.Has 23000 miles now, I do not have nav, but that is ok with me. Prestige motor cars in York , Pa. is where this car came from. They get some real nice low mileage cars. Mike Furman, salesman for Criswell might be someone to talk with.
Shop on,

I have an '09 1LT crystal red Z51, and it has HUD. I bought it used so can't be certain, but it's factory HUD so it must have been a stand-alone option at that time.

For price comparison purposes, I bought it about 2.5 years ago for $36K. It had just over 12,000 miles on it at the time. And all stock.

FYI -- HUD was *never* a stand-alone option in any year C6.

Lots of people retrofit the factory HUD into C6's that were not originally equipped. $400 plus labor, so its pretty cheap to do.

I would pay that in a heart beat for a 6 speed with those options.
