I'm serious, guys! I have a stock C6 but I LOVE the look of stripes on Corvettes. Would I look like a douche for getting stripes for my car? I don't want people to think I'm a track poser or something.

I realize this seems like a really dumb question but I really want some input.

It's douchy on the grand sports . If you like it, go for it. It's not my thing but who cares, it's your car.

Complete poser. Lol I'm kidding. Just wait and the "pecking order" guys will chime in. according to them if it didnt come stock from factory then its completely illegal. Me, i could careless. If you like it then do it.

Don't forget the big sticker that goes across the top of the windshield that says "CORVETTE".

My GS coupe came with the factory hash marks (red on black) and when I got it it had Grand Sport accross the top of the windshield. Recently won a Best 13 at a car show at Muscle Car City in Punta Gorda, FL so the judges liked it.

I personally liked it enough to buy the car. If you go to the National Corvette Museum web site and the Corvette Blvd web cam you will see that a lot of cars are being delivered with various stripes. If you like stripes by all means get them.

Whatever you like is what counts. I would do the windshield banner before putting hash stripes on my GS.

Are you talking about hash marks on the fenders or rally stripes that go from the trunk lid over the roof and down the hood. the hash mark not my cup of tea but the rally strips I do like. The end result is do what you like. I added a extende zr1 spoiler to my base vert. I got a snide remark from a guy with a zr1. I didn't let it bug me I paid for it and I like.

LOL....I thought the same thing about me. I guess I need to go see my physician because that red stripe on there does nothing for me. But I guess if we were all the same this would be a pretty boring forum.

Sorry, but that vette looks like what happens when someone spends too much time ordering things from their J. C. Whitney car accessories catalog.

It is a good way to lower the resale value of your car and severely limits your buyer pool making it much harder to find someone to buy it later.

That is a beautiful Z. The only thing I'd change is get rid of the red stripe.
