I am old so I am a chrome guy but I do like "the dark side" on some cars. I think you have to coordinate, accessorize, tint windows, stripes the black into the color scheme to get the look. But it seems the end result with all the black is a sinister Darth Vader look... LOL Seriously if you like it that's all that counts.

I think they look great when the car is sitting still. Underway, however, unless they have bright rims or bright accents on the spokes, it looks too black hole for my taste. I much prefer chrome with a lot of facets to reflect light no matter the angle. Still, black is very popular today, so to each his own.

A little OT, but why do people share screenshots of their iphones when they have the ACTUAL higher quality image saved on their phone...
Now on topic: post the actual picture and we can judge from there.

I'm not a fan of chrome or black, so I'm probably very much in the minority. Comp grey was OK, but I prefer basic silver.
I do like the halo/top blackout.

Looks very nice, especially the blacked out roof/halo/tint. However, you need something on the side to break up the all silver. Perhaps a LS3 badge (or similar) on the fender vent?
I'm also very interested in your painted on hood stripes. My car is an all black GS with red hm's and I want to add hood stripes to tie it all together. Please post more pics.

Very nice car. I like the way the car looked with the chrome rims. Just imo it looked nicer. I just dont like black rims, you dont see the rims at all. Everyone is different, what you like is what you like. Stay with what you think looks good on your car.

When the Corvette's come with them from the factory I think they look nice. However when people put them on for aftermarket I don't think they look right. I think there is a reason why the base C6 never came with black wheels, it just looks off. Now this is my opinion. I like factory wheels. I love the GS/Z/427's when they come with the black or comp grey, the base just doesn't look right. That's just me. Thanks for sharing your pics

And for the subject. ... like most say, to each their own. Me personally I'm not a fan of black wheels. To me they just look dirty.... again, that's just me. I like chrome

Sometimes it takes a specific wheel in black to look good. It is most likely the picture, but the black wheels, black tires and the dark wheel wells they are almost lost in the photo. Maybe a read ring around the outer part of the rim. They make the rings that will go on the wheel. That will tie the red calipers in a little. Just a thought.

The only way I would get black wheels is if they were the black with machined faces. Those can look OK on some cars/trucks.
I'll stick with chrome on my Vette though.
