Default Car Insurance Quotes

I know this has been discussed before but my policy needs to be renewed and was wondering if anyone changed or renewed theirs. Currently with Geico.

I've been with Nationwide for years but a few years back I spent 15 minutes with Geico with my policy in hand. They couldn't beat the price and told me that if they could beat everyone's price they would be the only insurance company in the country. With policy in hand, shop shop shop! It's amazing the difference between companies offering the same coverage.

I just got a new policy with Progressive, which has not even gone into effect yet. Today I did an online quote for NCM Insurance and their quote for a full year was only a few dollars more than my 6 month policy I just bought. I may be cancelling and switching to NCM.

Just switched from State Farm to Farmers. Saved $400 just on the cars and another $250 on the homeowners.

Just took a phone call and 15 minutes time

How long since you shopped for a better premium?

Sadly I have to agree, I never second guessed Geico's pricing until my son moved to Florida and he shopped for insurance and learned he price from others was about half. I was told at a car club meeting to check with Leeland West and they came in at about half Geico now I'm second guessing all my other coverage including home owners.

I don't know how old you are but if your over 60, call Hartford and get their AARP quote. I shop insurance rates every year and I've never found anyone who could come close to them. I'm assuming you have a good driving record and no accidents. I have 2 C6's and an Infinity QX56 and they knock Geico, Progressive, Farmers and the rest out of the park.

You have to be an AARP member though right?

I'm surprised we don't have a insurance agent on the forum.

If Erie Insurance is available in your area check them out. Once you become a customer and you are not involved in an at fault accident or have any major tickets, your rates are locked in.....the rates do not increase unless you make a change to the policy.
This only applies to auto insurance....homeowners may or maybe not increase.
We are both 60 years old with good driving records and have more coverage than I need with a $500 decreasing deductible. We have a 2013 Vette, 2013 Honda CR-V and a 2009 VW Jetta and pay $1723 a year.

You do have to be a AARP member the first time to get the insurance. After the first time you don't. I think is was 20 or 25 dollars to join when I got the insurance a few years ago. The insurance company took care of all of that. I'm not a big AARP fan and have never paid for an AARP membership since. I have a 2005 Corvette, a 2012 Corvette and a 2010 Infinity QX56. I just got my insurance bill for this year last week and it is $1095 for 12 months. $300K /500K liability for bodily injury, 100K for property damage and $500 disappearing deductible if you don't have any accidents. I don't think you can get a 6 month policy. Like I said, I've never found anyone who can beat it. Call them and see, it only takes a minute. 800 423-6789.

Interesting. I switched from Farmers to State Farm, and saved money. I had been with Farmers for nearly 13 years, and the loyalty apparently meant nothing to them. It depends a lot on where you live etc. The only thing I don't like about State Farm is reporting mileage every 6 months. No company before has ever done this.

I have my insurance with the NCM, they treated me very nice after a bad experience with Hagerty. Why not give Adam a chance to give you a quote. You may be happy with the money he can save you, as well as supporting the NCM
