I go to the advance web site with a discount code I find on the internet. This will be the Best price out there. I change my battery every 3 years, a good investment for no troubles. Spend as much as you like, this is just what I do.

I just checked AutoCraft Gold $96.99.

I just replaced mine last month with the Delco 90 series. The standard replacement for the C6 is the 80 but for a few bucks more I chose the larger output. I looked into the diehard and was told that they no longer make one for the C6 with the top mount. Optima's quality has supposedly gone down since they moved the factory to Mexico. There was something about the Interstate as well, don't recall but may have been the price.

I have kicked this battery topic around for a month.
I went to buy a Optima at advance and the guy told me he would not recommend one - they have far to many returns, this from a guy who has been at this advanced for at least 3 years. He said I would love to sell you one since they cost more but I just have to be honest. He suggested going with their AGM or gold series battery. Unfortunately he did not have either to fit the vette.
I am going to buy an agm from auto zone.
I looked at consumer reports and most mfgs have holes in their lineup with poor quality so no one battery brand stood out by leaps and bounds. Walmart received goods ratings and interstate seemed to have the most issues. I think its a crap shoot.

Do a forum search. This topic has been discussed many times. You can spend a hour or so reviewing the posts and getting an idea of what to get.

I have owned a lot of vettes and for the last few I have stuck with the Delco, they have lasted 4 or 5 years at a minimum. I never have used a battery maintainer on any of my vettes and at times had 2 or 3 vettes at a time so sometimes they would sit for a month or more and never failed to start.

I replaced the one in my 2007 when it was 4 1/2 years old, not because it failed but just figured it was about time. I bought a Delco professional from my local Chevy dealers parts department for around $85 and now 3 1/2 years later it is still starting like new.

At almost 1/2 of the Optima cost it seems like a good option
NSF PS after reading the specs and comments, your AGM seems like a better battery IMHO

Optima aside all the others are pretty much made exactly the same and by the same company. There is no wrong one to choose. I got my last one from Walmart and it works the same as the one before which was a Diehard that lasted 3 1/2 years. I am another one that does not buy into the Optima hype.

I had an optima yellow top and that died in 2 years. I had an optima red top and that worked amazing.

You just have to look for CCA, not necessarily CA.

Got mine from Walmart and it works fine. Got one in both trucks and the CTS, never had a problem.

No I'm not kidding. I've been using Delco for 10 years in two different Corvettes without a battery tender.....never had an issue.

I would just buy an Optima Red Top and forget about it.

My OEM battery died in my '08 after 10 months in December of '08. Bought a Red Top and haven't had any issues since. I don't use a battery tender and the Red Top sat (disconnected of course) for 9 months while I was deployed. My car was outside in Colorado and Texas, so the battery was exposed to pretty extreme temps.
