I suspected that my fob battery was starting to get weak, which it proved to be when I got it tested. To make sure I was opening the fob case correctly, and not wanting to break anything, I found this helpful video. It features a 2008 Cadillac fob, which looks identical to my 2008 Corvette fob. I replaced the battery and everything works!
