'Grey’s Anatomy' Takes a Shot at Reckless Corvette Driving
Is this a case of art imitating life, or some random Hollywood fluke? Given all the discussions we've been having about Corvette crashes, this strikes an ironic chord. In a 'Grey’s Anatomy' sneak peek, things take a terrible turn when Dr. Derek Shepherd (played by actor and racing driver Patrick Dempsey) encounters an aggressive C6 Corvette Z06 driver.

If you watch the commercials in slow motion, it is definitely a wide body (Z06 or GS) in the first scene, but the crash and the explosion are coupes (narrow body).

In the teaser that I saw, I thought it looked like a C5 upside down.

Some hollyweird producer probably got passed by a Corvette or some other fast car recently and it made him mad, so had this put in an episode as his way of revenge to try to make all sports car owners look bad.
Hollywood uses their shows to promote whatever political agenda or topic the current topic of the month is. They want to try to convince everyone their point of view is correct. Ever noticed how many shows we have about gays on TV now? Or how many shows inject democratic points of view and put down anyone who is conservative or religious?
Hide and watch. I'll bet within the next week or two there will be some sitcom or show that has a storyline about a bad cop shooting an innocent person of different race and they'll make it look like it was all the cops fault.

Also one of the last episodes of House Dr. James Wilson (Robert Leonard) buys a red Grand Sport and goes a bit nuts with it in the episode "Post Mortem" and crashes it into a ditch by the end of it.
