Hopefully you are right. Was not true at all for Ford SVT engines. I blew a sparkplug out of the head while leaving a stop light in rush hour traffic (read very slowly). It was a hand built and signed engine also. 2000 SVT Lightning sat in dealers shop for 2 months waiting on a replacement head. Never did get it back, traded it in on the new 6.0 F250 Diesel. Ford bought that one back 6 month later due to harmonic resonance front the turbo. No more Fords for me.

Okay then, I will acquiesce to your points as they do make sense. However the following remain quite irrefutable:
Good day
- Chrome Wheels add at least 25 RWHP
- Black Wheels are the plaything of communists
- GS owners are scientifically proven to be more generous patrons, better endowed, have more couth and more open minded than base people
- Trump for president
Good day
......hear him...hear him.........the bottle stands beside you Sir......a toast then to Chrome.......

My first car was a Camaro and I've been a Chevy guy every since, good or bad. I've owned many Camaros and Corvettes and Chevy trucks and suvs. Don't know why I have so much brand loyalty, but I do. My wife has a Dodge Ram 4x4 outdoorsman because she likes Dodge. After driving it, I don't dislike it, but it wouldn't be what I would have picked.
Anyway, you have a great Chevy now, that's what counts!

Yo Mr. db, the digital kit arrived today.
25 different pre-programmed voices for each pad! It's like having 25 different of kits! The sounds are amazingly accurate.
I found the perfect stand for it. An Office Depot laptop computer table.
It has a steel frame, with telescoping pedestal to adjust height, and a solid wood top. It's the perfect size, and is totally non-resonant, and very solid.
The Kick and Hi-Top pedals are made of a very thick plastic, look well designed, and unlikely to break.
However, I can imagine them being totally useless on carpeting, because they're too small, and would sink into the carpet.
I'm using them on a tile floor, and the rubber feet really stay put.
The only negative I've found so far is the rather loud sound that the stick makes when it strikes the pad.
It's a dead "thud" sound that I'm finding distracting. Especially when I'm tapping a cymbal. There shouldn't be a thud, thud, thud, sound when your tap, tap, tapping a cymbal.
The only way to eliminate it is to crank up the amp volume loud enough to override the impact thud.
I guess I shouldn't have any complaints, considering how low it's priced.
Now I have to start practicing a simple 4/4 Clave, and even learning to get comfortable holding the sticks again after sooooo many years.
After about an hour I was comfortable with the tom toms playing with a Samba rhythm, that my wife said sounded pretty good.
She gave me more motivation, with her positive comments.

When I first met my wife I used to play songs for her on my guitar. Then I got her a piano and she bought me a classical guitar, so we learned a few songs by Bach. It was fun playing together. I was playing blues and rock when we met, so classical was more of a challenge. Now we don't play together much, I guess I need to motivate her.

I respectfully DISAGREE with that statement on precision and quality control at Wixom. And especially the statement about technology!
In conclusion, it has been well documented that GM opened the PBC with the intent of using the best possible equipment, techniques and engine builders (masters) to build a high performance engine.
To imply the mass production facility is better, is to imply they failed...

I wasn't making a comparison of the Wixom PBC to the St. Catharines, Ontario engine plant that produced the LS2 and LS3 engines for C6 Vettes, but to the Tonawanda, NY plant that's building engines for C7 Vettes. I hope you don't believe the Wixom facility had more advanced technology than the Tonawanda plant is employing.

Maybe you just didn't read what I wrote, so I bolded the important part.

We were talking about the LS3 C6 motors, so you threw me off bringing up the C7 motor manufacturing plant. Not sure what that has to do with the subject we were discussing? Did you buy a C7 or were you just trying to find a mass production that would be better than the PBC? Comparing C7 manufacturing to C6 is apples to oranges!
So once again if we are talking about the "LS3" and the "C6" Corvette, the Wixom PBC had the better technology.

you are a busy dude!
I no longer give a chit what the stock market is doing.
All my investments are in tax free municipal general obligation bonds, or annuities.
I have no stomach for a 600 point roller coaster every day.
I get my 5.75% every year. Don't care if the market is up 15%, or down 30%, i'm gettin' my 5.75% no matter what, and i sleep very well.
Try to jump in here for a quick hello when you have a few minutes.
I can speak for everyone when i say we all like to hear from ya!
I don't see any change in this country as long as the american people continue to empower progressives, and far left liberals.
As long as the potus, the attorney general, and the head of many agencies continue to obtain their positions because of their race, gender, or both, this country will never turn around.
Just look at the crowds, and support, that bernie sanders is getting.
An admitted socialist, rallying a major percentage of the democrat base.
Next year the country has a clear opportunity to vote out all the liberals, progressives, and socialist scumbags they can find.
Will it happen? Well, i can dream, but i sincerely doubt it.
We now have too many people on welfare, too many people on food stamps, too many people with their hand out for a myriad of entitlement programs.
There are too many people who pay no taxes, and all of these takers have one thing in common, they all vote, and they sure as hell will not vote for a republican.
Personally, i appreciate everything that law enforcement does to keep the lid on the garbage can.
Maybe next year we can help them, by getting rid of as much of the garbage as possible!

No, I didn't buy a C7, but even though I'm retired, I still try to stay abreast of current manufacturing technologies with a focus on aerospace.

[QUOTE=HOXXOH;1590404791]I agree that Wixom was "the" place during the LS3 era and I'd suspect it would have been the test bed for the quality controls instituted in the Tonawanda plant. I only mentioned it as a point that robotic/digital technology and QC can exceed human capabilities in manufacturing.

I wish I would have got into the car industry out of school, but I live in Texas, so Oil And Gas was the industry jobs were available in, unless I wanted to relocate. Sometimes I wish I would have!

Whoa,.....I agree that Boehner & McConnell are RINOs, most Republicans are these days.
But to put them in the same category as Harry Reid???
To me, Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi, share a place somewhere in the Cosmos, far, far away from planet Earth.
Remember, Reid and Pelosi, supported the "Occupy Wall Street" movement.
Those two morons, also asked that the house pass the ObamaCare bill first, then read it later when they had time.
It takes a special kind of stupid, to say things like that.
Hey Rocky, how was Carlisle?
