Glad to hear you are home safely! Now get that window fixed!

So, the old girl did okay and got some thumbs up on her cross-country journey? I gotta say, I thought you were nuts when you first told me your plan. And after meeting you, my thoughts were confirmed - you ARE nuts!! But in a good way.

ps - about that Oregon plate...........I think I left a matched set of 1956 Oregon plates under the back seat. I'll trade you back-seat trim pieces for those two plates.

ARP2000 is more a "brand name" than a true, proper name for steel...................... ARP2000 is very similar to 8740 steel widely used in the aerospace industry, and 4340 is a "lower grade" or steel without the higher strength properties found in others.................

has anyone checked out the new LED headlight topics? Seems to be a lot of issues and concerns about how they really work, although I still think that the angled LED's do not look too good on the contoured body lines of the C6 generation....................

here's hoping that wayback can make it another week with temps in the triple digits down there in TX..................
rained here all weekend, and supposedly continuing through the first part of this week.................... at least the grass is green

I kinda like the looks of the new alternative headlights. My OEMs are still like new so I won't be buying if/until I need replacements. At least we now have another replacement alternative. I suspect all of the "questions" regarding DRL functionality/etc will be worked out in short order.

Figured out the Fiddysix was built on or around the 19th of July in 56 in Oakland California...... and then 62 years later in July we are driving it cross country....... I think that is some kinda of Carma...... get it Car.....Ma....... geez....... ok more later from the center of the country........ Only 6 weeks till Big Red Football starts....... oh yeah.........

Hey, we're supposed to have a cold front come thru tomorrow. High only 98.

Been working on getting some shade for my outdoor grilling area. Will install shade cloth in the morning. And have a roll down shade cloth to install on the west side. Gotta block that hot mid afternoon/evening sun. Eventually will add a bunch of 2x4s ............maybe this fall.

To paraphrase a favorite saying...
If your dog can't drive a stick shift...you have a cat.

Behind the ladder is a built in stainless steel cooler with a drain. Just add beer and ice.

Sink is on other side of the BBQS.
Pergola is 10 ft by 18 ft.

Someone take care of it please.
