ROCKETMAN, it might be easier to pour rock salt in the downspouts than move. Just saying.

hoping that I got most of the issues addressed today.................... water was backing up and the backyard area stays wet most of the time, due to lack of sun because of trees, and I am at the lowest point on my block with the end of the block about 20 feet higher than me...............

just sick and tired of the stupid rules enforced by a bunch of no nothing, do even less asshats.............................

the drains are ABS plastic tubes, placed underground and run as a drain system where they come up to ground level and have a lid with a cap that pops up to allow water out...................

no map of the system................... not the first time I dealt with it here, had to do the front and side a few years ago................... made my own maps of the routing then.................... can't cut the trees out on my own, they are on "common grounds" and the association won't remove them due to costs.............

fighting a loosing battle here....................... will try the salt tricks if it persists

Just put a cup or so in each downspout 3 or 4 times a year.....no more roots in the pipes.

Could not live in a HOA neighborhood. Bad enough with the city changing regulations. They passed a code about placements of sheds and nowhere on my property would meet their code. Put one where I wanted it anyway.

Thank you! Great advice! If I didn't get this for about 1/3 of value, I would have not bought it....................... now it is my "retirement" nest egg..............

Well my son and his best friend just stopped by to show off his new to him car. His friend bought a 2017 Camaro 2SS. White with black and red interior. Nice car!! HUD, keyless start, mag ride, Brembo 6 and 4 piston calipers and hill assist.
455 hp LT1 4.1 sec 0 to 60.

Car has 4k miles.
Think I might have to bring him back down to earth.

No man's land is a lie. There are thousands of people there. People/property owners in Nome Alaska are Nomans and their land is obviously called Noman's land. In other local news, Gnomes are a popular yard ornament normally made near Nome by Norman Neumann the Noman Gnome builder of North Nome.

I've been thinking ceramic, too. I've gotten to where I take the vette to the carwash It's a touchless and it sprays soap, rinses, "wax", rinses, and blow dries. I spend about 10 minutes walking around with a towel and it's good enough for the street.

With the ceramic I don't even have to dry it, by the time I get home it's dry.

In other news, Thanks to my girl or, ex or whatever the **** is going on, I have spent most of the day agitated so I spent time on the RX7.

I stripped the engine down, cleaned the 10 years of dust from it, moly coated the bearings, checked clearances, reassembled and torqued everything down. If my agitation continues into tomorrow I might just bolt the heads down and degree the cam.

Ummm, I can only say...I hope H1 made my world famous Pink Panty Pulldowns...in a huge vat. The corn fed buffaloes rolled to a 33-28 victory. Bummer.

Shaolin looks good...……………………. just a couple things that caught my eye...………… why does it look like 1/3 of the valve reliefs in the pistons are so clean and bright compared to the rest..... also saw some type of marks on the outboard side of the lower cylinders on 7 of the 8 bores...…………. I know it was given to you "as is" just thought you may have some idea of the history...………

I saw that on cylinder bores, also. Looks like tolerance was a bit close. Was it crank, rods, what? It's not only on the outside of the bores but it looks like the damage came from outside that (if that makes sense).

But, then hell, it's a Ford. Maybe that's how they put them together...with a big hammer.

I was trying to be polite to Shaolin...…………….. still an internal combustion automotive engine, no matter who the OEM was, so basic designs all similar

as far as the Husker game...………………. I did see the 57 yard TD from the Husker QB to the receiver that put them ahead...…………. was a very nicely executed play

didn't see anymore until there were 2 minutes left and Huskers up by 1...…………. Colorado was pushed out of field goal range, then a dumb penalty gave them a first down...……… poor choice by the Husker defender.....

then the icing on the cake was a beautiful backshoulder fade route to the Colorado leading receiver for a TD...…………….

Husker starting QB was out of the game with knee issue, so the back-up came in, led them down the field, but last gasp effort was out of bounds...……………

H1 saw a very good game, just too bad someone had to lose...………… Huskers will be OK, as long as the QB isn't hurt too bad...……….. first year under Frost, but headed in the right direction from the effort shown today

Chemical guys...damn, just the name turns me off. Now it were organic gals I could be a customer. As for the garage, I'm thinking a mini-split (I've moved beyond the organic gals ) for the garage in AZ. A 400 sq ft mini is about $600 plus install. Seems an easy way to keep the garage at a decent temp. The afternoon sun shines right on the garage door so, even in winter, it can get quite warm.

If it has wheels it operates on physics and logic. If it has **** it does not.

Those are the factory TRW forged pistons they're a really great forging, unfortunately the factory valve reliefs won't clear aftermarket 2.02 or larger valve so it's common practice to fly cut them. The pistons are died black to help facilitate a proper cut.

It's just a weird photo of the oil pool up that dripped to the bottom of the cylinder. This block wasn't cut to clear a larger stroke. Unless you're talking about the casting build up from where it's cut from the molds. Either way it was freshly honed but just has the typical tarnished cast iron look. Everything checked out .003 piston clearance and .025/.025 on the rings, .001 on aft clearance, and .0015 on the bearing before coating.

Watched the 4th qtr of this game. Costly mistake gave Co a first down when they would have turned it over on downs.

Gave up watching the Texas Tech game when it was 42 to 0 at halftime. Think Tech was playing Lamar High school.
