Hey Ruxy looks like you are starting the Pool parties early this year. I spent 2 years in the Army ROTC in college, does that count as a vet? . If it does I'll just take dessert. .
I might have made a good sniper? We had a competition on a range with 22's at 50ft, regular sights. I was one of two that hit the bulls-eye every time in four different positions. The other one was a friend that showed me how to hit a bottle in the air, just like the old west...lol Use to sit on a hill at my grandma's farm in Pullman and pick off gofers on an opposite fence-line. Had my dad's 22 with a telescope site and my uncle would pay me a quarter for every tail i would bring in. He didn't want the holes they dug because a cow might step in them and break a leg he said.

Funny story, to me anyway....In the winter we had to wear these big overcoats for ROTC drills in the field house. Had a first year friend and he asked me what the big button down flaps on the shoulders were for. Since we had to wear gloves too I told him when you got inside you were supposed to put your gloves under those flaps on the shoulder. Never thought he would do it but he did. Will let you imagine the scene when the cadet officer passed him for inspection....He wasn't to happy,,,and i was when he told me about it.
Long story short i got a 1-Y classification when i got my draft letter(national emergency only) because of a knee injury in High School...

Wait.......baser standards....isn't that an oxymoron....... they do have class....third class that is...... how many basers does it take to screw in a lightbulb? 3.....one to hold the lightbulb and the other two to turn him in a circle till the bulb is tight......

that is good news Teeb.....so many have not been as fortunate.... that is a mess of epic proportions.....

Sunny day here in the Corn Palace, some harvesting still going on.....will be till Christmas I'm thinking.... I will be out in it taking some soil samples....

Ruxy and Hoxxmeister.....what the hell is going on in Arizona.....first time in 30 years a Democrat has been voted to the Senate..... all is lost I'm afraid....when a Red State such as AZ goes blue its all headed to hell in a handcart...... and we are all on the......

Let's fire it up today and kick some ***........ move it move it move it............have a nice day Hamms.......

Yes, how about them Cowboys. Beat the Eagles.

Got to look closely to find some good news this season.

H1 would you plant some of them extra tall corn plants this year? Might help slow the cold North wind that blows all the way down here.
Cloudy, windy and cold today. High of 38.WTF?

Back to mid 60s by the weekend... ..might have to go off roading, I heard you can't hurt a rental.

Beat that thing like a rented mule Whay....... maybe some rock crawls or mud bogging.......

all that's left is the corn stubble now to slow up the north wind......we like to share though......we'll send you more......

Baser shack in blizzard......

Inside GS log cabin during blizzard....... another hot toddy anyone?

hung out in Orlando with some NY'ers………………. a retired LEO couple and their family...……. truly BASER type people...………. all about having fun times...……..

wayback, check out a map showing the jet stream...…………………... warmer in Alaska at this time than most of the Midwest lower 48 states...…..

Well, hammers, Ive been going to the same barber here for eight years. Started out in the back row and today, because Leroy died (yup, right there in the front row) I was able to step over him and get my place in the front row. Hootyfrickinhoo!
One of the old boys just got back from a vacation in the Canary Islands. Said there wasn't a single canary there. One of the other old boys just got back from the Virgin Islands and said "Guess what? There are no canarys there, either."

moving on to the Orlando area, we stayed at a place in the center of the "Orlando Golden Triangle"...…………….
Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and SeaWorld would be the 3 points of the triangle...………….. shots taken from both the 17th and 19th floor windows, although we stayed on a lower level floor...………..
will point out areas of interest in each photo...………………..

Universal Studios in background...……………. Harry Potter Castle towards the left, the Hulk Roller Coaster towards the middle (green colored), and Universal Studios Amusement Park Rides towards the right...…………

Sea World in the background, center...………… the ferris wheel is the tallest in the world and was initially set up and sponsored by the Coca Cola Company...…………

downtown area of Orlando in the background...…………… approx. 10 miles from my location

Walt Disney World theme parks on the horizon...……………. about 12 miles or so from my location...………………….

below is a view of a fountain near the entrance of where we stayed, shows the height that these pictures were taken from...…………… again, cell phone so not the highest quality...………..

well there were no bikini girl pictures this trip, as we stayed at GS'er style resorts................

don't think my eyes could have taken the "beached whale" look of a GS'er in a bikini................

a real nice welcome back to the Motor City this morning................. a whopping 15 degrees with the high hoping to get to 30..........
