I guess I will go to bed seeing as how the ladies are no longer in the bar. Besides I have to get up early to go water the new trees the landscaping sub planted last week. Such hard work and I will only get $275 for the hour it will take.

Good morning fellow Hamsters......wow big night last night.....we got so tired watching the sand volleyball in our big chairs after all that food that we dozed off for a bit......like 14 hours...........how did the debauchery (excessive indulgence in sensual pleasures) go in the base camp last night? The sirens kinda woke us up at 2 am but not much.....hope everyone in the hovel was ok......

Base camp had fun, frolic, and everything went well. Never heard any complaints from any baser members.
And the place is clean as a whistle this morning, as the girls all made sure that it would be clean, tidy, and ready for us basers to use again.
H1, I still have that itch of another Vette!
Reasoning is black is spectacular when clean, but it only seems to stay that way a little while, due to dust, dirt, etc.
Thinking 427 convertible, as prices seemed to have stabilized, and many are available, due to C7 release.
Have a potential buyer for mine, just trying to get myself convinced that adding the additional funds for the 427 can be justified.
That, and still managing to keep my loyalty to the base camp! LOL
After all, a 427 convertible is not a Grand Sport.
Perhaps we can let the Hammy's patrons comment on this subject?

JK, go for it if you dont mind the 7.0 potential problems. Great looking cars IMHO.
Hell they all come with some potential problems.

C6 of Year Finalist (performance mods) 2019
The stepson got me a 3-lap drive in a F430 for father's day. He got the same deal for himself in a Lambo. He's never driven anything with more than 350 HP and those have been 4000+ lbs. I'm guessing it'll be more fun watching him try to drive the course, than the drive I'll get to do.
Although the F430 may corner better than my C6, it'll feel underpowered in the straights. For him, it'll be a whole different world.

Hope yall have a blast. Might suggest he packs a pair of clean undies.
Driving a F430 on a track? = you suck.

I picked up a couple cases of these that we can use as a fund raiser. I paid 5 cents/bar for them and I think we can sell them to the basers for 5bucks/bar. Should return us GSers a tidy sum.

Oh, and trust me on this, once you get a wide bootie cutie you will realize how plebeian the basers are.
Good luck on the 427. Keep us informed.

Hammy patrons,
OK, going to look at the 427 tonight after work.
It has more miles than my 2007 "baser" coupe, 22,500 vs 8,800.
Red & black top, Ebony interior, 1SC package, so loaded. ZR1 chrome wheels.
Now about the "wide bodies" and us "basers"
The only C6 built on a different FRAME is the Z06 and ZR1, all the rest have the same frame underneath them.
Different engine and trans. combinations, and the GS and 427 have fenders and quarter panels which are 3" wider. NO interior difference in dimensions.
If I do get the 427, I would still be loyal to the "basers" as it still is a Corvette, and is built on the same chassis. And a Corvette is "America's Sports Car."
Not going to get me into the "wide is better" discussion, more about the people and the car itself!
H1, the 7.0L in the 427 had some issues with titanium connecting rods, and premature bearing wear. If it made is past 8,000 miles, more than likely OK. The valve guide issue, which really accounts only for a small percentage of the early 7.0L's was resolved by the 2013 model year.

ruxy, thanks!
I know about the kidding stuff, just feel that all of us should be grateful for the opportunity to at least own one, although the C6 in my opinion is the best of the bunch!
Will keep you updated.

I'm certainly not going to spend 100K on a new car!
