cold, but the foot of snow we had is almost gone now............
supposed to get real cold here starting tomorrow night...........
below 0 for lows, just in double digits for highs.............
all that is left for me is to get a few cards to "hand deliver" to family members I will see today and tomorrow...............

I was never around here when Hameister was, but you can tell by his words he was a GOOD MAN, and went through many of the same hopes and memories a lot of us do...Easy to relate to .....Hope you will Raise One to him this Christmas and New Years Season I'm sure you will.

Last night, at a Christmas Eve party at a relative's house, as the children were running around, and the young people in their 30s were talking about their jobs, I sat comfortably sipping my EggNog.
I just couldn't help but think of memories, and thinking the same thing,....pretty soon, that's all that will be left.

.....Wow..... forgot all about that post...... his words suggest to me he was at peace with where he was in life and surrounded by family and content to just sit and listen and enjoy.....

That's a good one Husker.........Did you know when Jose first came to the States as a little boy his friends still in Mexico would ask him what it was like here...He told them they had lots of Games in big stadiums. But he didn't have the money to go to them. So he and the other kids here would look for a hole in the fence where they could watch.
They also asked him if the people were very friendly? He said yes, a couple stadiums didn't have any holes in the fence but he found Flag poles at some and he would climb up there and have a great view. He also said the folks were so friendly that before each game started they would all stand up and say......."Jose Can You See" ...he thought that was very nice ...
Well, hamsters, another Christmas is just about to close. With our namesake in mind, I offer this toast, a "hammerism" if you will, to you, the faithful hamsters:

can't say I have ever seen a difference in any of the regular patrons I know....................
really want to say "Thank you" to the Husker boy who mentioned 6" of freshly fallen snow..................
we were fortunate enough to get about 8" yesterday..............
and then another 3 - 4" overnight and this morning..............
this is what it looked like here, prior to me shoveling the snow so I could take Ms. 427 to see her side of the family this evening......................
...looking good Rocketman...... you gain a few more lbs.....and you can be a GS'er yet.....
Have to go out and start Lola and Layla today...... going to be gut cold this week so I will plug them in and put some juice in the fuel so they don't gel up....... that is one major mess when that happens......
Some -20 wind chills coming up..... glad I'm here and not someplace warm......
Revenues are off some so get back in here for the new years party coming up........ have a nice day!
