Only good thing about the cold is that it does not hang around very long......usually.

I went to the liquor store Tuesday afternoon on my bicycle, bought a bottle of Jack Daniels and put it in the bicycle basket.
As I was about to leave, I thought to myself that if I fell off the bicycle, the bottle would break.
So I drank all the Jack Daniels before I cycled home.
It turned out to be a very good decision, because I fell off my bicycle seven times on the way home.

They need team up with OR and finally create the State of Jefferson that's been on hold since 1941. Two more GOP states can't be a bad thing.

oh how sorry we are that we missed Ruxxy's Squirrel Appreciation Day..............
NOT sorry at all....................
in the interest of keeping current on the National Days.........
today is a double header for the basers...................
National Bootleggers Day and National Hot Buttered Rum Day.....
learning from our ancestors.................. baser methodology of obtaining liquor was passed down from prior generations..........
and with the colder weather impacting the majority of the US...........
special in the hovel is Hot Buttered Rum.........
basers pay for one, drink all you want.............
GS'ers prepay for twenty, cut-off is one..............
only US currency accepted..........

If the GS'ers ever want to form a new State.....Hammy's will be the capital.... it will be a Monarchy with the GS'ers as the ruling party........because we know how to party..... The basers will be the working class part of our society..... keeping us in the chips..... thank you.....thank you very much........ we could call it the Grand State......get it....GS......very cool......
Please we must refrain from showing any squirrely things to Ruxy....... he does not need any encouragement......... I know folks who hunt squirrels ........ they like to roast them and eat them........ tastes kinda like chicken they say........
Me and Lola went for a ride...... on the way there running empty I was pulling those Iowa hills like they were nothing......running 70 mph up and down passing everything in sight........ getting about 8 mpg....... I'm thinking Lola is feeling frisky today in this cold air that the turbo is wedging into the coffee can sized cylinders....... when I got to Des Moines I jumped out of the truck and the west wind about knocked me over........ hmmmm.....maybe that's why she was so amped up........ got a full 80K on and headed back the other way........lucky if I was getting 4.0 for mileage.......up the long hills starting in 13th then click the red button on the shifter into Direct (12th).......then on the real long ones as the RPM's come down to 1100 click the button to overdrive and downshift to 11th.........which is 45 mph at about 1400 RPM, that is where the 1600 ft lbs of torque live.......then on the downhill side pop it back into OD (13th) keep the pedal to the metal and run her up to 75 or more coming down the hill and then start over up the next one........ someday I want a truck that I don't have to even touch the shifter as it pulls the hills at 70 mph loaded...... with fire coming out of those 7" stacks......
time for a shot of JD sweet....... then doze off in the big chair.......... more later......

Gooooood morning, hamsters!!! Feeling pretty good today, especially since I found a new brand of juice to quaff:
Chinese grain alcohol baijiu, distilled by Kweichow Moutai Co. I like Moutai’s baijiu for its complex flavor and a purity that prevents hangovers.
The problem is that is in limited production due to the supply of grain and water from just one region. An 80 year-old bottle sells for about $30k.
Secret note to H1: I raided the baser's pool tables, juke boxes, and the electronic pin-the-tailpipe-on-the-baser for coins and got enough for 5 bottles. I'll let you know when they arrive...if I remember.

Since it was cold and snowy outside yesterday I decided it was time to tackle the new floor in the laundry room. I had to put a 1/4" subfloor down first. I must be getting old as my back is complaining about crawling around on the floor for about 8.5 hours.

Ruxxy, Ruxxy,,,,,Yes we all know, the whole town knows...I guess that's Your story and your are sticking to it.....Guess you are the only one that didn't know the TV story was out. There were some embarrassing GS'er reports on the news. Hope your wife didn't see them..... Looks like you were headed for the Naught Book store again. I think there should be a reprimand from the Board of GS'ers. You can clean the toilets in the Baser camp for the next 6 months..... Also looks like someone wrecked your Bike... News reports in case you didn't see them, and where you ended up.......I probably should be asking are you OK??. The way you landed must have felt like Seven times.......JKY

I put wood floors in 4 rooms downstairs. Since I had put new tile over the old white tile I needed to raise the wood flooring. Found cork sheets from HD that were 3 ft x 2 ft x 1/2 in thick. Worked great .....gives just a little cushion and acts as a vapor barrier also.
Now I have found a hole knocked into the wall at the top landing of the stairs.
Think Ruxxy must have rode his bike over here.
Going to put wood flooring on the stairwell walls about 3 ft high. Dang kids.....
