[QUOTE=Hameister;1591183990]
Last night, at a Christmas Eve party at a relative's house, as the children were running around, and the young people in their 30s were talking about their jobs, I sat comfortably sipping my Egg Nog.
I just couldn't help but think of memories, and thinking the same thing,....pretty soon, that's all that will be left.
It's a mixture of sad, yet thankful, at the same time.[/
QUOTE]

Very prophetic. And truly sad.

ruxvette, His words almost give the impression that he might just have had a feeling that his days on Earth were coming to an end. While he and I shared some interesting conversations at the "bar", I always felt that he would have been someone I would be proud to call "my friend" had we lived close by. I will miss his humor and honest opinions on many subjects. Condolences to his family.

I agree. I made the comment some time ago about trying to do a meet and greet in a centralized spot to gather the "regulars". I am sad it never happened.

I will miss his banter also. His humor and wit always brightned my day. Yes he loved picking on us lowly basers but in truth it never mattered for an instant what anyone drove. He cared only about the character of a person.

Randy I'm right there with ya.

Very true. Whether it was the color of the car, the rims or politics, he was always honest and respectful. He loved tech, photos, travelling and hanging out at Hammy's dishing it to us!! I am glad his wife got home from CR in time. He lived life well.

Gotta admit I am just about keeping it together here too...

I couldn't help but to remember Davids last post. We should all take solace that he was out enjoying life to the fullest with his wife and car till the very end.

Reading all the replies shows what kind of guy David was, as he carved a special spot in the hearts of all of us. This place will not be the same without him.

Spudsy just PM'd me the news, truly a sad day for all of us. While I never met him, it was always enjoyable to read his quick wit and banter with all of us. Godspeed Hammy, we will miss you.

You have no reason to envy anyone! 👍🏻
In that respect you are 100% correct, I am very fortunate.
Thanks
His penultimate post from last Saturday.

Here's to David and his life. He made it a damn good one.
