Since I've been jonesing for a road course day that's months away I took Athena to the drag strip. Despite repeatedly forgetting to turn off the TC I got an anemic 8.70 at 89mph with a 2.10 60'. Even though I hate drag racing, I forgot how much fun Socal summer nights are the track, donut box and drifting all going at the same time.

Looks like CF won't let you post links to Videos here anymore. They are really getting crappy since they went big time I guess. Nothing but ads and links they are shoving in the forum for money and they wouldn't be anything without the Vette owner posting here with their information.

Waiting for Chevy service dept to open. Went to look at their C7s. 7 of them outside.........ALL with black wheels. All 2018 models.
Goes to show which wheel sells best.

maybe you should try and get a few drives in a couple of them..............

see that they have a couple white ones, should be cooler than the black or blue colors there in TX...........

after a few hours, you can come back and report back which one may fit your needs............

Gonna pass on the test drive.......would want one too much if I did. The white does look good on the C7. Like the Red also. Black always looks good on a Vette, but too hot and hard to keep clean for a DD.

Had a few employees remember my car from last visit. Brought their friends over to see my car. Had about 12 employees checkin it out.

No....see that is why they are still on the lot........all the Chrome wheel ones were gone before they could unwrap them...... that's what I think anyway....... just a passing fad like passing gas...........

Yeah what is with the new look here with the reply box and the ads........ I thought I wasn't logged in or something....... maybe its time for a hostile takeover by Hammy's Inc. then we could double the adds and make some real money......

Gotta go......

Not to burst your bubble there Way (Ok I really really want to burst it) but if the Black wheels sell better why are there no Chrome Wheels on cars and all the Black Wheels are still on the lot?

Asking for a friend

Now I am scared. I am starting to think like H1

Not to fear, I still think the slim look is better and faster so maybe there is hope for me.

Good try. But last time I was there they had 2 cars on the lot. Both had chrome wheels and were being discounted 19k off MSRP. Oh btw they were 2017 models. This was 6 months ago.

That is interesting looking stuff. I sat and watched most of the videos on the counter tops. I've done some stuff with epoxy, but never redoing counter tops. May have to look into it a little closer. Nice little boat there Tomda.

I'm going to get a sample kit and try it out. I'll report back.

Tomda told me to keep a lid on it but that is really his boat. He built the whole thing in his backyard. He started with a base kit for an 8' rowboat and "GS'ed" it.

Back on tires, Had 5 Vettes and two 370Z's that I put Continental Extreme Contact on. Best thing I ever saw on wet roads. Now that I have the 13 GS I'm looking forward to the runcraps being replaced. Continental doesn't make the DWS version in our size but they do have the DW available. Based on history with the DWS, Continental is going to be the way to go for the next ones. Quiet, smooth and handle pretty good. Not supercar tires but who really drives 150+ anyway.

I am shocked!!! Dealership quoted me $345 but only charged $220. Still outrageous for changing headlight bulbs, but I was very surprised to be charged less than the quote.

Car was kept inside service bay before and after service.

Will see how they work tonight.

Old bulbs this morning 6 ft from my garage door.

Chose the Coni a/s DWS06 last fall because of the cooler ave weather here in PNW and also the ride and quiet from the RF's. Happy on all counts so far. No harsh blat blat over the concrete highway sections like the RF's Put about 4k miles on so far. Tread looks like around 9/32, maybe slightly less...so should be pretty good wear too. Rated at 50K but no warranty I think on one set, can't remember front or back, because they are staggered sizes.

Don't think they would be as good in warm to hot weather area if all the time. Would probably wear faster.
Probably a little softer sidewall in the A/S so not as good for tracking I would imagine. They claim they stiffened up the sidewall in the DWS06. Rated 186mph but haven't tried it yet....
