Hoxxy, thanks for the input. We are just coming for a quick visit, leaving next Thursday, to look things over and see what we think. The wife won't be retiring until next year so we won't be looking to spend those couple of months there until 2020 at the earliest.

We moved back to my hometown after I retired; population is maybe 40,000. But we moved around through the years and lived in some pretty big cities - El Paso and St. Louis being the largest. We spent 23 years in the St. Louis area so we are used to "busy".

In the same manner and deep voice as the Arby's commercial, I say about Phoenix: WE HAVE the HEAT

I’m still on OEM brakes, but only 53k.
Hey guys...slept in then just lazied around. Mrs. teebee wanted to go to Wally-world for a few things. Afterward, we were just cruising around and I needed to put a little air in the tires as each morning the idiot light on the dash would tell me they were low...all of them! I know it’s because of the cool night time temps. So I went down to the Shell station to put a bit of air in them. Right across the street is a car wash, so I pulled into it to wash 007. Then I dried it off and was headed back to the condo. Going back past the Shell station, there sits a 67 Corvette coupe! Well I whip around to go back and there are about 20 Corvettes sitting on the other side. So we pull in and start talking to the folks. They are from the Southern Colorado Corvette club in Pueblo. They had been out for a weekend trip to Durango and Silverton, and were headed back home. We chatted for a while then we headed back to the condo.
Mrs. teebee fixed a little lunch and then we decided to go out and play golf. The weather is nearly perfect sunny and 75.

H1, found this little doozie of a song...……………… thinking that it may help with Husker football, basers, and anything else which may get you down...……..
teebee pretty cool thing to do, meeting up with folks from the Land of Fruits and Nuts out there in the land of endless smoke...……
spent sometime this afternoon watching the Tour Championship, good for the game of golf that Woods won again, and he looked similar to being as capable as he was prior to all his mishaps and injuries...……
more tomorrow, going to try and watch the Lions handle the Patriots...……………..

Gives me reverence just looking at the pic of that beach......and the graveyards.......I will go over there one of these days.
Nothing turns a head faster then a 67 Corvette......glad you got to meet up with some Vette folks..... how cold at night is it getting up there?
Waiting to see what this week will bring work wise.... supposed to rain tonight so that will put a stop to a lot of the work. Naps will be in order..... Ruxy....careful that could get you in trouble if you were thinking of being a supreme court judge....... and I hope you never slapped some nice girl on the behind and said .... nice tush......or other similar wording..... or any other crazy college stuff that went on back in the day....... being Sargent at Arms is a pretty big job so you better stay with that........
Have a splendid day Hammers.....

Been mid 70s during the day and low to mid 40s at night. Although it doesn’t feel that cool in the mornings...and feels warmer than that during the day. 74 right now and breezy.

A father put his 3 year old daughter to bed, told her a story and listened to her prayers which ended by saying:"God bless Mommy, God bless Daddy, and God bless Grandma and goodbye Grandpa.
"The father asked, "Why did you say goodbye Grandpa?"
The little girl said, "I don't know, Daddy, it just seemed like the thing to do."
The next day grandpa died…!
The father thought it was a strange coincidence.
A few months later the father put the girl to bed and listened to her prayers which went like this: “God bless Mommy, God Bless Daddy and goodbye Grandma"
The next day the grandmother died…"Holy Moly," thought the father, "this kid is in contact with the other side."
Several weeks later when the girl was going to bed the dad heard her say: "God bless Mommy and goodbye Daddy."
He practically went into shock.
He couldn't sleep all night and got up at the crack of dawn to go to his office.
He was nervous as a cat all day, had lunch and watched the clock.
He figured if he could get by until midnight he would be okay.
He felt safe in the office, so instead of going home at the end of the day, he stayed there, drinking coffee, looking at his watch and jumping at every sound. Finally, midnight arrived, and he breathed a sigh of relief and went home.
When he got home his wife said: "I've never seen you work so late; what's the matter?"
He said, "I don't want to talk about it; I've just spent the worst day of my life."
She said: "You think you had a bad day, you'll never believe what happened to me this morning.... My golf pro dropped dead in the middle of my lesson.

That's pretty funny....... I think I will bequeath unto Rocketman.....a well known hybrid baser, the honorable title of Head Joker....... along with that title comes some free Pappy's......but not too much......and an occasional stand up hour of comedy in the Barca Lounge...... behind the chicken wire screen fence for his own protection if his jokes are lousy........ so take a moment to hoist a cold one in the direction of Detroit or in any direction......and give him a hearty atta boy!
More awards will be given as soon as I can think them up......... in leu of trophy's or money to well know charity's we are donating money to my C7 Z06 fund......or my C8 ME GS fund if it gives me some wood....... thank you all for sharing.....

Ok, hammertoes, the topic tonight is lug nuts and, in my frame of mind, I don't need no fricken rocket j squirrel for emphasis...
The LSDHL has a 2013 Escape (I can't even say ffffoooord) and they have a lug nut issue. As in lover's nuts. Well, to be honest, they swell but don't turn blue. So, short story long, the savvy sumbitch I am, I knew about this problem. I had even purchased a new set of shiny nuts. My intention was to take the new nuts to the (ffffoooord) dealer for the next service and tire rotation. But I forgot. The folks at the dealer left a polite nut note on my bill saying, roughly, "Hey, big boy, your nuts are swollen and need to be replaced. Oh, and by the way, we torqued your old nuts to 100lbs...over the 100lb spec. Have a nice day".
Holy jumped up geehosafats them suckers were tight and horrible to get off.
Whew, ok, I'm done.
But, goddammittall...

The Dodge Charger and ilk also have the same style of lugnuts, but they seem to hold up better than the Ferd ones. I do our rotations so the only time a shop touches the lugnuts is for inspections and when new tires are put on. The first time a shop touched my F-150, 2 of the 24 lugnuts went bad. So far, all of the lugnuts on the wife's 2014 Charger remain good.
