Nice picture combo Ducky...is it one of those "I'm not a Robot tests?" Like, Click on things in the 50's that are gone now.
I See -
- gas prices
-your 56'er
-and Sears, well almost.
- not sure about Pegasus ? Has it been retired for the Mobile name sigh?? maybe a Texan here can answer that but don't think it's used around here.

Pegasus is still used by ExxonMobil but not at their gas stations around here either. They have a Pegasus syn oil made from natural gas that is being marketed as a premium oil.

For lack of anything else to do I started trying to figure out where that picture Ducky posted was taken. Unless that is an old one that they took. I thought it was the Valley Plaza Mall in Bakersfield California. They had a large Sears and a Penny's store to get started. Then they said it was built in 67 and I can't make out any cars that modern in the pic. Just to grainy..... fuel prices would be about right though for that time frame. Just messing around till dinner is ready....

A little boy goes to his dad and asks, “What is politics?”
Dad says, “Well son, let me try to explain it this way: I’m the breadwinner of the family, so let’s call me capitalism.
Your Mom, she’s the administrator of the money, so we’ll call her the Government.
We’re here to take care of your needs, so we’ll call you the people.
The nanny, we’ll consider her the Working Class.
And your baby brother, we’ll call him the Future.
Now, think about that and see if that makes sense.”
So the little boy goes off to bed thinking about what dad had said.
Later that night, he hears his baby brother crying, so he gets up to check on him.
He finds that the baby has severely soiled his diaper.
So the little boy goes to his parents’ room and finds his mother sound asleep.
Not wanting to wake her, he goes to the nanny’s room.
Finding the door locked, he peeks in the keyhole and sees his father in bed with the nanny.
He gives up and goes back to bed.
The next morning, the little boy says to his father, “Dad, I think I understand the concept of politics now.”
The father says, “Good son, tell me in your own words what you think politics is all about.”
The little boy replies, “Well, while Capitalism is screwing the Working Class, the Government is sound asleep, the People are being ignored and the Future is in deep ****.”

Bowling Green weather for summer months...……………..
initial thoughts were to allow the first weekend for travel for those driving...……………… meet Monday, possibly visit Nashville, and all depart Wednesday for the rides back home...…………
we can make firmer plans as we see how many would be interested...………….
a couple of Corvettes from the Motor City and my Charger as a "chase car" with my topless wide-bodied brother driving mine from Detroit...………. room for as many as want to make the trip...………..
