I choose A, B and C. Since I just got registered I have to wait until I get my card then I can buy the supplement plan the way I'm understanding it.

If you don't need it to help pay for drugs now (cheaper than paying list price), just buy the cheapest policy available to avoid the lifetime monthly penalty. You can always upgrade or change ins companies once a year.
My part B supplement is through AARP and part D is Humana. Other than the ins cost, I've never paid a dime for any medical bills and damn little for prescription drugs.
Just trying to help out my forum friends here with info.

What the hell is all this a b c d chit......I didn't sign up for nothing since my wife insurance will cover me as long as she still teaches. I read online that I would not need to sign up for that stuff. Now Hoxxy is telling me they are lying to me...? The Government? I don't even know where to go to find this stuff out. Other than Hammy's of course..... where the truth is always spoken........
Our newest driver called me at 2:30 last night to tell me the card for fuel was not working.....turns out he was using the wrong drivers ID.......my wife is not amused.......I was just happy he was not reporting and accident or the truck had blown up...... geez.....

If you didn't do part D, you'll want to do that before the end of June. You don't do it through the gov't, but you can have the payment processed by them.

Well I'm self employed and have been for 35 years so I pay for all of my insurance. The way I understand it, if you don't sign up for it within 3 months before or after your 65th birthday, you'll pay a penalty every month once you do sign up.

Medicare A for Hospital...free to tax payers
Medicare B for Doctor...$$$ depends on income
Medicare C is your supplement, or medigap
Medicare D is drugs
I think. As I remember it, my employers health plan insisted I sign up for medicare at age 65 so medicare became the primary and the company health plan became the "medigap" coverage.
Vision plans and dental plans are optional.
Research on the interweb...
The above may...or may not...be accurate.

The C7 ZR1 will be introduced later this year and will have 750 hp and will be the end of the C7 generation. It will also have a damn big wing on the back.

Ya Torchy....been doing some hanging there......just to see what wild *** speculation is going on......a lot of speculation...........not so much even educated guesses that are close to the truth.........In this month's C & D in the 25 cars worth waiting for article, they are saying the C8 will be intro'd next year as a 19. maybe it will, maybe it won't....... sending you a PM It will be mid engine with 500+ hp 6.2 liter V8 and a dual clutch automatic transaxle. It will also have an 80K base price.too high...............

sad part of this is there were cameras for the parking lot that saw him pull in and park, but nothing on film that shows any intruder getting in and driving off with the truck and trailer....................
good thing I was in AZ when that happened............
otherwise I can only imagine the comments about being from the Motor City that would be thrown my way............

Medicare part C is an option to part B and the money gets handled differently. If you do part C, it can be switched to part B during the annual change period late in the calendar year. There are also extra rules for part C that don't apply to part B.
You can buy a private supplement for part B that can pay for the 20% or even 100% of what part B doesn't pay. Supplement plans are available from many companies and many flavors to suit your health concerns and wallet. I chose the full monty plan from AARP that covers both me and the bride.
The initial signup period is 3 months before the month of your 65th birthday and includes 3 more months after the month of your birthday for a total of 7 months. If you don't do part B, C, or D at that time, because you have other insurance, you need to get a confirmation from SS that the insurance you have is as good or better than what Medicare offers. Get it in writing too, since the clerks either don't know, don't care, or lie. If your private insurance changes, like many do each year, you need to get back to SS to confirm the new policy.
My part D penalty is 30% greater than the monthly premium. Thankfully, I did part B at the prescribed time. The income penalty for both part B and most supplements has several methods available to avoid additional cost, such as a life changing event like retirement.
Unfortunately, like most people, I didn't know or understand all this crap at age 65, so I try to warn others to research well. The results can affect the rest of your life.

You can't leave your pickup truck and trailer hooked up. We always unhooked but left the truck in front of the car trailer tucked in tight so they couldn't swing the trailer out easily. Then we had a deal that locked the trailer so it could not be hitched easily to a different truck. They can get anything they want if they have enough time but we always tried to do what we could to make them not bother with us. I always wish I could catch some of those guys and knee cap them so they remembered their sins the rest of their lives......

If the NY area weren't getting a winter storm right now, we'd be a little cooler. When they warm up next week, we will drop back to the mid-70's. I just wish they could get their act together and become more stable, but their politics doesn't allow that.
