Hoxxy were you still thinking about coming to the Black Hills............
I had it all planned out to leave here on Wednesday, go East on 60 to 54 then head up through Kansas to Pierre on 83, then over to BH on Friday. Then leave Sunday morning for Denver to spend a week with family before heading home.
I was good to go right up to when I saw the doctor this afternoon and he scheduled me for several tests beginning on Monday and finishing on Friday. He said we need to get this done now, not 2 weeks from now. Kinda bothered me about the urgency, but he was more concerned that the trip could create bigger problems.

The bottom line is I'm out for this one.
You guys have a good time and don't forget the pics.

just got back from the tire shop with the repaired ZR1 wheel and tire in hand...............

since attending the GS'er / baser camp with Ruxxy earlier this year.............

decided that it may be in my best interest to reinstall the chrome back on the car and get it ready for lift-off to the wild west tomorrow morning.........

a lot to do, not a lot of time to do it in today so I will check in later...........

H1 and H600 will be sending you a PM later today with my info. for the trip..............

guess I will be the lone baser / Old Geezer / A.C.E. / Arizona Outlaw representative out there in the hills...............

Ruxxy gave me enough ammunition while in AZ to carry the load...

Ah memories. The Gibraltar Trade Center that sits on the former Mt Clemens dirt track (1/2 mile, 1/4 mile and figure eight track) was just sold and who knows what will end up there. Grew up (Teen years) in Fraser. It's now famous for a 300 foot giant sewer collapse. Old enough to remember that New Baltimore was home to the (what else) New Baltimore drag strip that was renamed Motor City Dragway among many others over the years. And we spent summers at a park/campground in Walled Lake. At the amusement park every night and right across the road was the Walled Lake Casino where "Little" Stevie Wonder recorded Finger Tips live. Have a safe and enjoyable trip and take lots of pictures for those of us stuck at home.

Thanks guys. I don't believe it's anything serious. The doctor was concerned that sitting for long periods in the car with a seatbelt on, would aggravate the condition he wants to confirm and start a treatment if necessary. He's just being cautious, which I appreciate. It's the ounce of prevention thing.

sometimes less is more..............

an ounce of prevention is a lot better than a pound of cure..........

stay cool there in AZ and I will try to get a picture similar to the ones from Black Bear with the GS'er boys from the Husker State.........

Rapid is always 20 degrees hotter than it is up in the hills. At least we can hope.

no PM received TODAY H1................

plan is to leave tomorrow morning, drive 10 hours or so and end up in the Rochester, MN area.................. a lot of construction on I-94 in Chitown area and into Wisconsin................

will leave MN sometime Monday and check in Sioux Falls in the afternoon........

seen that there Hot Summer Nights Event is Tuesday and Wednesday nights........ then they caravan across to Spearfish on Thursday......... I check out of Sioux Falls on Thursday and check in Thursday at Spearfish / Deadwood area............ maps not handy right now...

did not know where you Husker boys were headed..........

did not sign up for any events in Sioux Falls, although I can if needed once I get there............. saw some of the photos the Sioux Falls club I assume posted on Black Hills event website........... looks like they feed them like cattle, and round them up and on the road single file.........

been to Wall Drugs.................. back in the late '60's early '70's........ Ms. 427 never been in that area, so I may get forced to stop a few places I would prefer not too...........

Jackalopes................ seen them in a few locations around the USA...............
rare creatures..........

breed like rabbits, and run like the wind...............

will send you and H600 a PM within a couple hours................

Have not been to the events in Sioux Falls. Probably would have to register and pay to take part in any of there events. The drive to Spearfish is not to exciting. Wall Drug is a nice stopping point. I may catch the interstate there, haven't decided yet? May go thru Chadron and then head north.

With a car as nice as yours it definitely needs to be in the Hot Summer Nights show. I would think you could register when you get there. I'm sure you have been to there website. www.blackhillscorvetteclassic.com

Rocketman and all the H's --
If you find yourselves downtown Sioux Falls for the Corvette Show, eat at Minerva's. Old-school elegance and darn good food!
