What glory is there in the cross? It was an instrument of torture and shame. Why did Paul glory in it? He gloried in it because the most selfless act ever performed by men or angels took place upon it. He saw-emanating from that rough, unartistic beam upon which the Son of God had been crucified—the radiant hope of the world, the end of the believer’s bondage to sin, and the love of God shed abroad in the hearts of men. A lone man dying on a cross did more to restore man’s lost harmony with God, his fellowman, and himself, than the combined genius and power of earth’s mighty. With my finite limitations, I cannot fully comprehend the mystery of Christ’s atonement. I only know that all who come to the cross in simple, trusting faith lose all their guilty stains and find peace with God.
So we took off in a blizzard for church and got there early so we could get a good seat....they had hot coffee and snacks while we waited for the first service to unload...... excellent service and the music was great.....also the message.......if you ever want to join us for church you can go to lincolnberean.org and watch live or get the the latest sermons on line....... best preacher I have ever had the pleasure of learning from......and I have heard a few in my day........
So after church we got out and its still snowing so we make our way over to where the buffet was.....and it was worthy of the GS fine dining.....I ate way to much.....then went to the desert bar........wowser...... I told them to just carry me out and put me in the back seat of the Tahoe.......wake me when I was home........ they didn't........ we ran around the Star City on some errends and stopped in to see Huskerboy.......he works at this fitness center...so we were in there to say hi and we saw that they have those $10K massage chairs I wanted for the GS Barcalounger lounge......... so me and the Mrs. jumped in a couple of those and whoa Nelly those things work better than Brun Hilda......we were so relaxed we had to stop and get some hundred mile coffee to make it home......... heck they are just 10 Grand......better get the service contract though...there are a lot of moving parts........

Sermons????????? I am going to take a wild guess and also say with you being married, you get more than your fair share from Mrs. H1 too besides those at church.........
and the chairs sound really nice..............
maybe you GS'ers should spend some money on upgrades....
baser camp would gladly store the barcaloungers in the hovel for you..... and we wouldn't even charge you GS'er style rent for the space they occupy............
those are some big dang rabbits......I don't think jack rabbits are going to be that tasty....but enough BBQ sauce and anything tastes good.... right?
It may as well be December here right now.....it snowed and now cold and cloudy with more snow on the way......some places got almost a foot of the white stuff....everyone is grumpy here in Huskerland.....farmers are headed back to their caves to sleep......but when it does warm up it will be all hell breaking loose and everyone wants everything right now because planting is late........ oh the humanity.....
Yeah we need to have those chairs up in the Barcalounger lounge.......they also have heat so on the really cold days we can enjoy the warmth......they work you over though.....Brun Hilda on steroids..... we will need them motorized of course for when we go through the buffet line....
watched the original Thomas Crown Affair with Steve McQueen last night....... the best thing about it was the Dune Buggy he had in the movie..... it has a Corvair engine in it......sure sounded good........
