Museum of American Speed Lincoln, NE...................... closed today.................. H1 worked it out with those in charge that we had admission for a couple hours by ourselves.................. you could spend days there looking at everything they have, and these are numerous, but only a small percentage of what I actually took there in a couple hours today........................ enjoy.................
seeing how the place was empty of people, and there would be no danger of running someone over, this guy seemed to want to take the GS'er way of seeing the sights............

Museum of American Speed huh?
Where is the Cornbinder section?
I mean mine can reach 53 going downhill with a 30 mph tailwind. What more ya want?
Glad to see everyone found y their way out of the corn maze in time to enjoy some time together.

The picture of that 57 Chevy, doesn’t even come close to showing how freakin’ awesome it was!

It was great seeing you again, rkj. And despite being a GSer, I really enjoyed meeting Ruby....er Ruxy.
In all seriousness, the last 2 1/2 days have been great. Spending time, helping rkj detail H1s BSGS. Being around H1 and Ruxy have been so much fun and enjoyable. I’m already looking forward to our next gathering. My understanding is, instead of a trip to Detroit, a plan to head to Bowling Green is in the works.

poor internet connection here at this GS'er hotel makes loading these very difficult but wanted to finish with these must see pictures..............
knowing "boys will be boys".............................. time to post up some toys......................
pedal cars.......................... baser and GS'er versions....................
going to check out the pricing on this one below once I return home.........................
finally, since the gs'er Sargent at Arms is no more than a big kid, and knowing he may want something to ride around in Hammy's while on patrol................
baser camp returned all our empty PBR bottles for deposit money and purchased this especially for his patrol duties.......................
always willing to make certain my topless, wide-bodied brother has no wants or needs while here at Hammy's...................
and to answer Wayback's question related to H1 and learning about farming, and heavy equipment................. have to wonder if H1 didn't have one of these as a kid..........

Would love to have a meet out west some time. Maybe Vegas, can't get in any trouble there.. Hard to find a closer place to bring the Vettes too as everyone is pretty spread out.
Nice Museum pics RK

Thanks for the museum pics. It looks like some of the exhibits have changed since I was there 2 years ago. I have an interest in the Feuling Olds engine. Obviously, Jim knew something that others still don't when he got 1270 HP out of 121 CI.
These two pics are my favorites. They tell the story of the wealthy (the Cadillac pedal car that probably cost more than the average car of the day and the only one in an enclosed glass cabinet) and the poor (who carried their school lunches in a bread wrapper), since their parents couldn't afford a lunch box.

Absolutely! Having the opportunity to talk with 3rd generation farmers. Swap lies with KW John. Meet teeb. Once again enjoy the company of H1 and the lovely mrsH1. And, of course, the sweet mrs427.
427man...well, let's just say my topless widebody brother was nice enuff to take me to the airport. Or, actually, A airport. His directions took us to a little regional airport. I told him I didn't think the little Piper's would make it to Dallas. His one word response was "out". Guess I shouldn't have paid Large Marge to do a lap dance on his hoo-hoo. He was complaining of a groinal injury this morning.
To all that were there...thanks for the great time. To those that weren't...ya missed a great bash!

Holy moly......I have been picking up empty beer cans for an hour.....went to get something for breakfast and the fridge was empty.....I did find that bottle of Pappy's.....but it was empty.....I will fill it with some cheap stuff for next time...... The weather was terrible but today its sunny and nice....figures. Had a great time and there was hours and hours of old stories and even Ruxy had a few......actually Ruxy could go on the road will all his jokes and stories....... also Rocketman and the Teeb....I'm kinda introverted and very polite so I did not say much......I'm shy you know...............Kidding.....I tried to keep up but it was hard to get a word in edgewise and like Ruxy said the last lair didn't stand a chance in this crowd.......
We ate good I know that.....and its so weird but my back feels great today......so resting it up really helped as the rest of them worked hard on the BSGS....plus Teeb did some fixes to the kitchen drawers so now they open and close like new...... very nice!
Good time and looking forward to the next go round.....

Glad everyone survived cornville and had a great time.
Rocket man you are planning to share that 25 y.o. Pappys, right?
ROCKETMAN?
ROCKETMAN?
Dang I think he started drinking it already.....prolly to try and forget the GSer lap dance Ruxxy forced onto him.
Can't say as I blame him, but damn Randy and I were looking forward to sipping that Pappys.
I know we have plenty in the hovel, but knowing we deprived H1 of one of life's better pleasures just makes it taste that much better.

A very sobering arrival at DFW...an honor guard at attention on the tarmac to receive the remains of a brother or sister who truly sacrificed it all.

Well H1s wide body C6 looks so good it inspired me to start polishing mine. So far I have done the Targa, halo, hatch and spoiler and the hood.
Polish, final Polish, wet look and sealer.
Used more polish than I was using before and had better results. Need to do the hatch one more time I think.....but want to finish the rest of the car first.
Hope everyone makes it home ok.
