Default GS bouncing fogs

Drove my 'new' 2011 GS vert to work today in the early, dark morning. Noticed the fog lights vibrating, sending light up and down each time I hit a bump. Noticed it on street signs and other commuter's chrome bumpers. Definitely fogs- no bouncing light when I turned them off. Anyone else got this? My 08 coupe didn't have loose fogs? How can fogs be loose? Look like OEM, don't have to warm up like HID.

Get yourself a wrench and get under there and fix it. That's what I would do.

A cat ran into the road at me, tried to swerve but cat glanced off LL fog light. Knocked it in, thought for sure I'd need a new one so made arrangements w/ local body shop. Based on my description they ordered a new assembly. Picked car up & owed $100.

Turns out the housing was not properly tightened, at the factory, which wasn't learned until the cat. Was delighted for a honest shop & savings. I'd been expecting a $450+ bill, so happy I tipped the shop $50 for next days lunch pizzas for everyone.

Yours may just be loose.

Your lucky to have a honest shop to go to. I found the one and only honest transmission shop, at least that I have used. Loves cars and is willing and able to do other work for my Corvettes, if he has the time.

As for the fogs, I haven't used mine in 8 years. Kinda useless with blackouts on them.

Doesn't the tint on your headlights also reduce their effectivity? I know it does on brake lights ... some are so dark you can't tell when they guy applies his brakes in the daytime.

No tint on headlights, just black buckets. Lens are clear. All other lights are tinted with paint and are LEDS so they are brighter than stock.

These days honest people are getting as rare as hen's teeth, so yes I was floating on air. Wasn't luck, just honest people.

I don't use the fogs a'tall either, rarely if ever drive at night.
But the thing looked like hell knocked-in as it was, no way was I going to drive my car looking like it did. Was sick over the 'damage', sucked it up & prepared to open the ol' wallet. But, I got lucky...this time.

Thanks for the tips - glad I'm not alone. Never noticed it on my 08 and wondered what the heck with loose bulbs or housings! My hubby owns five automotive under-car repair/specialty exhaust/brakes stores, so I can have his guys check the lights when they hoist it up to do my caliper paint and skip-shift eliminator. It's a heck of a job - I know they complained about installing HID fogs in the 08. Guess I'll owe them lunch and some brew. ;-)

Might have a broken nipple/tab at top. These plastic nipples/tabs (2 of them) on top side of light are slid into holes then 2 screws at bottom to secure. Easy to getaccess to them buy removing tires and pulling back fender liner after removing few screws and clips. I recently installed some HID lights on a Z06 and his was broken on passenger side.
