C6 2010 Grandsport- Do I need runflats???
I've had my GS since 2010, only 12k miles and already time to replace tires. Ugh. They are Stock Goodyear runflats. Any better tire suggestions. It's time to already replace them. Are there any better tires out there? Do I really need runflats? I didn't burn out, they just didn't last long.

Any GS size tire is better than the Goodyear. If you want to keep the runflat I would go with the Bridgestone RE050 runflat (great tire and cheaper than the Michelin) I went with non runflat and put Hankook evo2 on my GS. I love em'! Cheap too!

Runflat vs Non-Runflat?
You might have well have asked should you buy Ford or Chevy.
You will get zealots from both camps campaigning that you will go straight to Hell in the next life if you don't follow their lead in your tire procurement choice. I on the other hand don't think the answer is a "one size fits all".
I had runflats on my 2011 Grandsport but was forced to change to Continental DW's when Michelin put the rear run-flats for my ZR1 wheels on back-order with no release date in sight. I've added a good quality plug kit and digital mini compressor to my rear storage and already have roadside assistance on speed-dial.
I think run-flats offer more options to you to handle an unexpected/rapid pressure loss in a tire and if your financial situation allows for the extra cost then I recommend using them if at all possible (my wife's 2012 Grandsport has Bridgestone run-flats).
Regardless of your choice get your alignment set to the Pfadt Street Alignment settings. That will do more than an anything to increase your tire tread life on a Grandsport.

Hankook evo2 all the way.
Great in all temperatures, good grip in cornering & accelerating, and even very good wet handling ability. I got caught in a rain storm on I-40 just west of Knoxville that would have made Noah nervous, not the Hankooks though.

Runflats are not needed but most owners seem to have an issue with not having them. I like Michelins. A little more pricey but it's the cost you pay for the GS. Pilot Super Sports and could not be more happier.

When I bought my '11 Grand Sport last year, it came with new Michelin Pilots. Non run flat. It's entirely up to you and your comfort level.
When I have to get tires for the GS, then I'll decide if I want RFT or whether to stick with the Michelins. So far, I really like them.

C6 2010 Grandsport- Do I need runflats???
I just replaced Goodyears (9k and worn out) with Michelin Super Sports. I had the equivalent run flats on my old C6 and decided to not have run flats. My new Michelins run quiet and the old ones gave me over 20k miles. I paid about $1600 with insurance etc at DiscountTires.
Do not understand why Chevy put those awful Goodyears on the car

Michelin is always a good choice. The Bridgestones are reportedly good too.

It all depends on if you plan on a road trip in your GS. I know all of these folks will say to get a small compressor and a plug kit and go but on the side of the road in the dark it's really hard to get the tire plugged.

My GS had Nitto Invos on it when I bought it and I don't see any reason to not continue with them, pretty racy tread pattern also and performance seems good to me

NSF PS I do carry the obligatory flat tire kit

I replaced the Goodyear run craps last year with Michelin PSS non run flat. Improved ride, handling and less noise. Get a PFADT street spec alignment to prolong your tire life (unless you track it) and buy a good plug kit with mini compressor. AAA member too. I will take my chances against a catastrophic tire failure. Some people need the peace of mind they imagine with run flats. JMHO
