I just stumbled across this thread so here goes. I purchased my MCM hood in 2012 after seeing one on a friends C5.
The MCM is one of the finest Corvette hoods out there and I'm glad to see someone picked up the ball. The painter was amazed how the hood fit and how nice the finish was before paint. No extra work preparing it and none needed on install. He told me the hood rivaled OEM quality. It is also not too high like other high rise hoods trying to be cool, very nice to look over.
I didn't weight it but it was noticeably lighter than stock. There also some history and design features info if you care to Google it. MCM claims the hood with the air extraction feature to improve downforce and lower cooling load.
I hope VetteNuts is continuing with the vacuum mold process because it is what sets this hood apart from the wanna-be specials.
The MCM hood looks like the General designed it, every line and feature fits the Corvette design perfectly. The hood is that good.
Good luck with your sales your customers will thank you.

We are getting close to finalizing a deal with a manufacturer. Im sorry for all the delays but it takes time to find the right people to produce these.

I'm waiting to see what happens here before I decide if I want to go with a MCM or Calloway hood.
