Took about an hour on mine.

I'm not going to have it done and I wouldn't do it if I were you. The chances of you having problems after the recall is done FAR exceed the chances of your lights ever going out. JMO.

After I received the notice from GM, I called my dealer to make an appointment(to make sure the had the "jumper wire" in stock). From the time I pulled into the service bay to the time I drove it off the deaer's lot, 45 minutes had passed by.

About 40 minutes at least that's from battery disconnect to battery reconnect. As that is how much my clock was off. So about an hour total if the person doing it starts right away.
Mine is a 2013 have no ill effects, had it done at the end of may.
My opinion, I wouldn't do it on an older car unless they actually go out or are acting up. Since most problems seem to come from the removal of the upper fuse block to lower pins. If they are corroded and then disturbed, but they don't clean that off, then you have all sorts of issues with those connections, and not just the headlights but could be anything in that fuse block.

Retired & lovin' it!
Unless I get an outright failure, I'm not inclined to take a chance on some other damage being done during this "fix".

It took less then hour, and remember they discounted your battery so your radio will need to be reset, and I had to re-index my windows.

Especially for electrical work, and especially when they chances of them screwing it up, far exceeds the chances of ever having a low beam issue.

Those of you who appear to be happy, because your dealer had you in and out, in 15 or 20 minutes, need to take heed.
There are two ways to affect this repair.
1) The right way as explained step by step in the G.M. Bulletin I've posted, which takes about 45 minutes, or...
2) The quick and dirty way which takes about 15 minutes, which is the protocol many dealers are using.
Use a flashlight if necessary, and check your fuse box very carefully.
If you see a wire run around the outside of the fuse box housing, congratulations, your dealer chose the quick and dirty way to save time.
It's unprofessional to say the least.
The entire repair, if done properly, should be within the fuse box housing.

They also have a trained corvette tech and he is the only one to work on corvettes period. Even Oil changes on corvettes are done only by him.

IF you do it the RIGHT way, it takes about two hours on your workbench at home.
The recall is just a cheap work around so you don't lose your headlights while driving.
Which isn't a big deal unless you a too ignorant to figure out how to turn on the driving lights which will make enough light to get you to you destination.
