Default 1,000,000 Corvette Repaired

I know it's not a C6, but it is historical.

The discovery of the hundreds of signatures of the people that built her is a very special part of this story. It made the restoration even more imperative and painstaking.

Thanks for sharing this.

Nice story; wish GM would restore the others. None could do it as "authentically."

A nice story. I have always liked the C4 body style and keep telling myself I'm going to buy one eventually.

It's just a C4 with salvage title now.

Don't understand this comment - the 1 Millionth Corvette made can't be compared to road-going cars that have "clean titles". It's a big milestone in Corvette history and it being damaged and restored makes it even more notable.

If you do, spend the money and get a good one. Your gonna spend that much anyway. I know from experience. Just sold my 85, good riddance.

If I ever get one it would been one of the later models 95-96. Judging by your comment you surely won't miss that 85 lol.

Glad they could restore it and two others.....the rest were beyond recognition. When it first came out...the C4 was the "car of the future"........full of electronic stuff and a style beyond anything else made in this country....despite what we now love about our present cars, most of us probably drooled over the prospect of maybe owning "the new Corvette!" Congrats to GM restoration team!

It also set the direction for future suspension setups. Huge improvement over the previous gens.

I remember when the first C4 appeared in the local showroom. My dad and I went down to the Carlsbad dealer and we drooled over that vette for what seemed hours. I knew some day I would have one. Now some 31 years later I have been fortunate to own an 85 auto coup, an 89 6 sp vert and my current 95 auto vert. I also owned an 04 auto coupe in between the 89 and 95.
All generations are great cars but for me the C4 has given me the permagrin effect. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...es/patriot.gif
