SWPS recall issue
Hello, anyone ever run into this? I have been getting intermittent Service Active Handling messages and took the car to the dealer today. They pulled the stored code and determined it was the steering wheel position sensor. I asked them about the past recall and the clip that is installed. Well apparently another dealer closed the recall back in 2010 but when my dealer pulled the column cover, no clip was installed. So they charged me $97 diagnostic fee and $5 for the clip. I know the dealer that serviced it back in 2010 thanks to Carfax and it is local to me. Do I have any recourse here? Someone charged for work not completed but I don't know which dealer. All I have is my new service order showing the clip was installed. Just an odd situation.
