anyone getting to like the C7 ?
I doubt I could ever get one as just moving up to a GS is dream time but Lately I have been seeing more C7's that I like. Early on all I saw were red ones with black wheels but I have caught a couple grays and a few black ones in oerson that looked really good. Saw a pic of a ZO6 in long beach red? I think that is what it was called. Looked incredible. Any of you changing your opinions on how it looks?

Seeing C7s up close is tempting.

Nope, don't like the rear end. Also don't like all that crap all over the car, vents or whatever they are, spoils the smooth looks of the car.
Local dealer called me when he got his first one in. I did go and look at it, but I told him I'd never buy one.

I like it for the most part (like others, I have a problem with the rear for one thing) and have come close at least 3 times to pulling the trigger; then I come home look at mine & take it for a drive .... urge goes away ... for now

Same here, my friend !! I've even put forth a reasonable attempt to give the C7 a chance by test driving one from a dealer who would bend over backwards to get me into one.
Sorry - but NO love here for the C7 !!

I like the way the front and sides look for the most part (like others seem to) but don't care for all the vents, especially the one on the hood. And making it black on a colored car is even worse. Perhaps all models don't have the hood vent ... I haven't really delved into it.
I don't like the back at all. That alone is enough to make me wait for the C8.

I have owned 25 vettes from all of the first 6 generations but just cannot get into the new design, too busy for my taste. In the past I could not wait to buy one of the new generation but just am not getting that same feeling with the C7 after seeing them for nearly 3 years.
Was in town on a Saturday back in April and O'Reilly Chev here in Tucson was on the radio advertising a big sale and they said they advertised a new C7 convert with a big discount was available. I was just about a mile away so stopped in and when I pulled in with my C6 convert and parked I got a lot of attention.
The car was on the sales floor and the saleswoman immediately got the keys and unlocked it so I could take a look and sit in it. The first thing I noticed was from just minutes before being in my C6 convert the C7 convert felt more confined and cramped and was kind of a turn off because of that. They nearly begged me to test drive it but after looking it over and sitting in it I just could not get that have to have it feeling and couldn't see any reason to waste their time or my time doing it.
To be honest if they would have traded me even up with the stipulation I would have to keep it and drive it and could not sell it I would not have done it. For some reason it just did not look like it was as high a class of a car as the C6 does on the exterior.

I can easily see owning a C7 in a few years. Heck, I might even spring for a used Z06 since it's now available with AT. 650hp is definitely on my bucket list!

The C7 rear end looks unfinished where it drops down to the outside behind the rear wheels. Something just doesn't look right there. It accentuates the narrow body with the skinny tires which makes it very unappealing visually. I do like the rest of the car.

I loved the C3s and despised the C4/5 and 6s. I finely got tired of waiting on GM to bring back a decent looking Vette so I bit the bullet and sat in a C6. Still 3rd on the list but with enough appearance MODs it can be made to look respectable so that's what I did.
I would have went with a C3 but didn't want to deal with old tech.
Then they came out with the C7 which I think is the second best looking Vette ever produced. I test drove a vert and really liked it but it was not the right color.
I am very curious to see what the C8 will look like before I move to a C7 but one of those will be in my garage once all the bugs are worked out.
Of course, it's all a matter of taste.
