Vert trunk lid latches

No.

No...but I can't imagine why one would be needed. I can simply drop my trunk lid and it will close all by itself in one movement. If it is not doing that, then the latch needs alignment. Mine also pops up fully without the need for an extra spring...again, it's an alignment issue if it doesn't do this.

The reason I ask is because I was at the corvette museum today and was watching a guy demo the features of the c7. He was showing the trunk lid latch, which was a pull down. I commented that I wished the c6 has that feature. His comment was that it did! I said mine didn't he said his did an 08. I didn't want to argue with the EXPERT, but I knew he was wrong.

There is a both a C6 and C7 hatch pull-down. Still no trunk lid pull-down, then or now.
When brand-new, the trunks of both generations are very tight and hard to latch, but loosen up with use and age.
The hatch pull down is in fact new for the C7(old tech--some years of the C6 had the hatch pull-down, but new on the gen 7), probably because the vent pressure release gismo was a failure.

Well, this is brand-new, although very welcome news!
