New member in need of advice
Hey everyone Im a new member to the forum and bought a 2010 c6 base corvette (stock/ no mods) and love it just seem to have one on and off again issue and am wondering if anyone else has experienced . from time to time , ill be at a red light and it will make a sound as if it is running out of gas and going to turn off than goes back to the normal idle sound . I put in good gas and well maintained . I took it to the dealership and they said its "normal" and the A/C compressor unit is turning on and of and is normal. but it does it when the A/C is on and off .
If anyone has a possible explanation or has had the same experience i would greatly appreciate some input.

When the A/C compressor engages the engine will show a decrease in RPM's for a moment which would be normal. If the engine exhibits a "stumble" or cut out that is not normal. Unfortunately without actually experiencing the symptom first hand it would be impossible to determine your specific issue. If you have any friends with a C-6 Corvette check out what their car is exhibiting when the A/C compressor engages and compare to your car's symptom.

Loose plug wire...

Although I have not been able to experience what you describe,.."it will make a sound as if it is running out of gas and going to turn off than goes back to the normal idle sound", your description is much like the stumble, choking sound an engine makes just before stalling, and then it goes back to a smooth idle.
I'm running a totally stock 2013 LS3 GS.
Other than a momentary drop in idle when the A/C compressor is activated, I have never experience what you describe, in my 'vette.
Not unusual for a dealer to tell you something is, "normal", when they're clueless as regards the problem.

Sounds like an electrical problem or a fuel problem that should be looked into. Why was throttle body replaced twice? Start with checking for a loose plug wire as suggested.

Sounds like fuel to me. Have you checked the fuel pressure or tried any fuel treatments like Seafoam? If you do use a treatment it might clean up any injector problems. Also make sure you run the whole tank after treatment before refilling to get the best results of the additive.

My 13 C6 does not do that. I would get Chevron Tetron and run at least 2 tanks with a bottle in each tank. Run the tanks down low before, refilling. I am guessing you have an injector that is sticking.
In Louisville I am not near a Chevron station so I buy the additive. If you are near a Chevron station run their top gas for a couple of tanks, but you will solve the issue.
The dealer is wrong about the AC compressor. I had a 03 C5 and now my 13 C6 and neither one did or does what you describe.
