Default Wheel spacers

I have a 2005 base model. Want to stick my tires out a bit. Has anyone gone with 1/2 inch spacers or is that too much? Thank you all for the feedback

I had an '05 that I did that. First, buy good quality, "hub centric" spacers, then you will also want to replace your studs with 1/2" longer ones. It's a little more involved than just adding spacers, if you want to do it right and be safe, but it was worth it in the end...to me anyway. When my car was parked next to another Base Model car, mine looked much better.

Buy a set of Z06 wheels and they will stick out - and you'll have wider tires to-boot...
