stereo

if I ake out the stock stereo out of my 2005, and replace it with aftermarket, will the stock speakers still work?

Yes. If you have the Bose system, things may be a bit different.

I installed a Kenwood HD radio with Nav and kept my standard factory speakers for a couple years. It didn't really improve the sound much over the OEM radio, but I had a bunch of other features ... Bluetooth, iPod capability, USB, Nav, etc.

A few months ago I replaced all the speakers and added a 5-channel amp and a sub. The difference in sound is amazing.

yes mine has the bose.. I want to upgrade the head unit first then I will do other componets as time and money let me.

I'm sure someone else will chime in soon with an answer for Bose systems. It may be no different ... I just do not know. Pretty sure the speaker impedance is different from standard speakers.

Dennis sells nothing but the best, and what is best, if you have installations questions he's there for you, just ask the forum. A trusted friend and vender.
Yes I have Bose and Kenwood system, sounds great.

What I would recommend if you are going to do it, do it right, and buy the Sirius receiver if you ever want to satellite radio. I did it, and love satellite radio.
