Vin VS Glove box code 2011 Grand Sport
Hi I am looking at buying a 2011 Grand Sport , but a little confused : the vin is 1G1YS2DW1B5106401 , when I look online it states it's a Grand sport , which I believe it is , but why in the glove box for the codes it says 1YY07 , which is a base corvette coupe , not grand sport . The Grand Sport code is 1YG07. And if someone could help with a list of the options the car has from this Vin number , it would be greatly appreciated .

We just went through this on another post, similar question.
They are all 1YY07 (coupe) or 1YY67 (vert), then they become GS's with optional equipment listed on the RPO sticker. The GS didn't get its own code in that location.

The problem is that the car is 3000 Kms away , and I am getting the owner to send me Picts of the plate , with the codes , and I can hardly make out the codes , he calmed he took 10picts and sent me the best , which are bad , but the one on the top right corner which I can make out is 1YY07.

Thanks Rick, that is a relief , I was thinking that someone bought a base and converted it to a GS , and selling as a GS

As far as we can go from the vin. The car you are looking at is a GS 3lt optioned ,manual coupe. You can look up what came in the 3lt packages. If you get the glove box photo someone or myself can help with individual options. Good luck with your search.
