As has been pointed out.....the article is over a year old....enjoy what ya got till the future is "clearly defined!" Right now the C7 Z06 moves me a bit....but not enough! If Corvette moves in the direction that artwork depicts....I would move the interest up quite a few ticks....torch red of course!!

The only similarity between that photo shop and the real deal is the color red!!

Well, we already know that the C7 crowd won't like the C8. Its got round tail lights, and according to them, it looks so out-dated. Of course, a lot them will eat crow and conveniently forget all of their negative comments about round tail-lights. My C6 will look contemporary again!

I could see Chevy bringing out a C8 as a midengined turbo/ supercharged V6 or Hybrid to be sold in limited numbers as the cost will be more than the C7. How many Vette owners will scream if the car should be a V6 like they did over the tailights as Vettes are supposed to be V8's time will tell

Guys.. this article is from Oct 2014.. not exactly up to date IMO. I don't know of any credible info locking into a mid engine C8 for 2017... anyway, can't wait to see it if/when it happens.

Read the last sentence of the first paragraph. The only fact in that article is that that GM is working on the next Corvette. Every detail of the new car, including the pictures, is speculation by Car and Driver. They even said it in the article. Called it their "crystal ball". Not sure why they would even print that stuff. They are always working on the next car. Means nothing.

Perhaps you're right...I certainly don't know - but given the pictures and some rather authoritative assertions, this article, while admittedly speculative, seems to be rather well-grounded. That is, while I certainly wouldn't count on every word to be "etched in stone," I can't help but think that there's far more fact than fiction in this write up !!

It blows my mind how many folks on the forum continue to rag about the tail light design question. Give it a rest PLEASE! The jury has long since come in, while some don't like the new rear deck, it has been a major design based sales success. For those haters, why not just accept the facts, hold your personal opinion at this point, and move on. People just have such a hard time accepting that their personal choice might not be the majority. IMO is so often missing from comments.
