Looks like it is another model with a Ford GT price. It says the C7 will continue for another few years.

Well, we already know that the C7 crowd won't like the C8. Its got round tail lights, and according to them, it looks so out-dated. Of course, a lot them will eat crow and conveniently forget all of their negative comments about round tail-lights. My C6 will look contemporary again!

I actually like sharpened lines of the C7 except for the non-Corvette rear end.

The C8? I think it looks mean, nasty, and hot.

Worth the money then.

An "Ask Tadge" question should be ... why in the world did you put Camaro taillights on a Corvette?

Yeah, I like that. Hopefully chrome wheels will be an option. Still might have rear visibility problems though.

Getting back to the round lights is a corvette must. I still believe that the C6 rear is the best looking by far.

Read the last sentence of the first paragraph. The only fact in that article is that that GM is working on the next Corvette. Every detail of the new car, including the pictures, is speculation by Car and Driver. They even said it in the article. Called it their "crystal ball". Not sure why they would even print that stuff. They are always working on the next car. Means nothing.

To keep me from buying one. I've had 5 C6s.

Math tells me I will be too old when the price come down in my range. Nice car after they work out the problems. Yes, I had a Corvair and a Fiero.

This is also a September 2014 article ... almost a year and a half old.

I agree. look at the article and you will see it is not a current release. I don't see GM/Chevrolet retooling for a new generation after only running the C7 for 3 years. Beside the production numbers are very good for the C7, so there is nor reason to drop the C7 for a brand new C8 model. The 2014 sold over 37K units and the 2015 was a little over 34K. Both those are more then double that of the C6 production numbers in it final 5 years.

100%

If the C8 ends up resembling something like the drawing, then they will have corrected the huge Camaro-butt mistake with the C7 without having to acknowledge it.

Same here.

Also: My first car was a '61 Corvair. Probably was a bit more primitive, and not quite as fast as the C8 will be though.

I test drove a new '84 Fiero but never pulled the trigger.

Nice rendering. But, it needs a chrome strip across the front nose.

I wonder when someone will want to graft a C8 front and rear end on a C7?

My first car was a '54 Chevrolet that I inherited from my sister when it was 11 years old; my second was a '62 Chevy II Nova. Both were less than perfect ....

I had two Chevy IIs, both '62s, both beat, neither were Novas.

But they were both the old, tough, cheap, reliable Chevy workhorses that we were used to back then.
