Default Is your Corvette a he or a she?

Hey guys. Thought i could throw in a fun little question for yall. Is your Corvette a he or a she? I hear a lot of: "Shes got this and that", but have you ever gave your car a gender or even a name?

For instance, my c4 corvette is most likely a 'he'... its old, its not much appreciated, its somewhat ugly in a way (also beautiful). Its almost like an 'old fart' as it currently has a vaccum leak and NEEDS a new battery. If it had a name it would be Eagor.

On the other hand, my c6 Corvette is a 'she'. She's got a sharp look, gets a lot of attention, completely sexy, and it's even 'younger' if you will. This one would be Ivette

So what do you guys say? Is your Corvette a he or a she? Or it's just a car and it is impossible for it to have a gender but you still call it 'a beast'.

It's a piece of machinery, so genderless. I also don't call it a beast or have any other nicknames for it. It's just a car for me.

Haha! so when you're with someone and you're heading out, you say "get in her car" or "lets go in my truck" and "lets go in THE CAR I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED"?

Most of our cars have names and genders. Too much ambiguity if I said "Let's take a Vette".

This one my C6 has no name, so therefore it is neither a HE or a SHE. Now when I first got my C5 I had been away from the Corvette community for some time. The wife and I worked within a few blocks of one another so we normally drove her SUV. O few days after getting the C5 as I pulled into our drive and hit the garage door button when the back of the Torch Red C5 showed, I simply said SWEET. Well from that day on my wife dubbed it Sweetness, so I guess it was of the female gender.

It's a car, a vehicle so it's not alive so it can't be male or female.

Being my wife and I are collectors we have agreed that all our vehicles are "she"...my choice she approves the names.

While I agree with you thta they are not alive, try telling the fighter pilots and bomber pilots of WWII that. Also When it comes to Naval vessels they of course have names, but they are also referred to in the female gender many times, such as she was a fine ship in her days.

So I guess the Corvette (which by the way is also the name of a fast warship dating back a long time) can also be call either.

She. Ours is red, so my wife named it "Scarlett". I leave that up to her, since I have a hard time figuring out a name for the dog.

Louis is a he, already named before we picked him up in Bowling Green. The other two are ladies—my wife call the 1985 my "31-year-old girlfriend."

My wife's 4runner is painted blizzard pearl so she named it "pearl".
I have programmed the personalized dash information when you turn on the Corvette to read;
"Bad Mother F*#%ker" which my wife does not approve of. But that's as close as it's going to get to being named. Most guys don't name their cars, or their Harleys.

the car is an "it". We call "it" the blue car. We have a red car (not a Vette) and a truck. When we go somewhere, we just say, the blue car, red car, or truck, whichever we are going in. Easy.

I agree...it's her car, my truck, my bike, and the vette. Easy.
FWIW, I don't have pet names for the lawn mower, toaster, micro wave...you get the point.
