Default Man Cheers On His Corvette Driving Through Flood

Maybe we’ve just been underestimating the capabilities of the Corvette in rough weather conditions as a rear-wheel-drive sports car.

Great now instead of lowering, we'll lift our 'vettes and add giant mud tires.

I guess that's one way of washing the under carriage without needing a lift or race ramps.
Oh, and he got to wash a bit of the carpets as well.

Stunned that did not vapor lock the motor. My slammed C5 would have drowned.

Whoever selects stories for the Forum Homepage needs to find a new job. Very rarely is any story actually factual or something positive for the Corvette community. Most of the time they are just trying to stir the pot.

I am not sure I totally believe this video. How can you drive that fast and not force water up into the air cleaner box and then into the engine. The water had to be fairly deep for it to get into the interior and soak the carpets.

He will have electrical issues at some time because he forced water into electrical connections.

He drove too fast for any type car. I was told by my dad years ago that if you get into water drive real slow so that you have sort of a mini wave in front of the car. To this day I will not drive into water at a fast pace, even in my Ranger Pickup.

Well, the video is kind of an ad for staying with the stock air filter system...

Lots of problems ahead for this idiot. He just ruined a great car by being stupid.

Default I would bet

It's not his car. He is driving his friend's dad's car. His friend has the camera and says,"Not cool!".

If the water was any deeper or moving faster our intrepid submariner might have been awarded this:
