Default C6 window jumping

I have searched this for days and I have tried indexing the window several times. Now that, that is out of the way.

After washing the car or it rains, the inside door release wont fully release. It will do the initial kick, but wont fully release. I have to use the floor release. Once I get back in the window wont jump back up to close, or it jumps up and down. After driving for a couple minutes it will close.

What would cause this? Door latch? Door control module?

I have. I'm going to clean them again this weekend and see if that helps.

I haven't noticed any hard starts. I know the battery is a little over three years old now. I'll take it to a parts store and have them check it.

Cleaned the door pads. Now, I can't believe I'm saying this, let it rain. Then I can check to see if it is fixed.

What's the word? What was the cause of your window problem? Did your battery check out.

A word to the wise: Most parts store battery testers are very ineffective at detecting a bad battery, with lots of false 'good' results. If the parts store checker says it's bad -- its bad. But if it says its "good", it STILL can be bad. C6's are very heavily dependent on computers and electronic tech -- they seem to need not just a "relatively good" battery, but one in *great* condition. Just because there's enough juice to run the starter doesn't mean that the power is sufficient to properly run all the systems in a stable manner.

Here on the forum, *countless* problem threads start out with
"battery tested good",
-- and end with --
"replaced the battery -- all is well again"

FWIW, YMMV, etc etc.

I had a battery with a bad cell that would show full charge on the battery tender. The battery would not start the car after sitting for 2 days without it being tied to the BT. The only way to test a battery is through a load test.

After cleaning the door pads, I haven't had any issues. I haven't washed the car and it hasn't rained here to see if it has gone away.

I'll have to take a look at the date of the battery and see if it older. I bought the car 2 years ago and I haven't changed it. It may be on it's way out.

Thanks for all the help guys.

A new door pad is only about $25 ...you will notice the same pad has many part numbers at the dealership.
That's because they kept improving them.
I clean them and keep a spare in the glove box, when you wash your vette, try not
to shoot water in the door handle opening.

I thought they were a lot more. Hmm.

I try not to spray directly into the door jam area. I clean those after I was the body of the car.

I think the last one I bought was $21.
Left and right are the same, interchangeable and the Cadillac uses the
same part.
