Default 2010-2013 GS difference?

Other then the seats and steering wheel,is there any other differences I'm forgetting? Both 3LT GS's, the 10 has about 1000 less miles then the 13 and the 13 has NAV the 10 doesn't,which I don't really care about anyway...price check too if you don't mind.2010-9300 miles stick, chrome wheels.2013-10,700 miles -nav-black wheels (which I like! ) Actually, the 13 looks just like the 0ne in my AVATAR!!

Yea, a few more, and I'm sure I'm missing some.

2011 introduced the mag ride option (which I have), and the ability to select different color headlights (edited)

2012 introduced the ability to select brake caliper colors (edited)

2011 had a different bluetooth setup too I believe.

I'll add more as I find them. There's a thread already out here somewhere that lists them.

2011(?)-13 Nav radios also had the built in USB port in the console.

2011+ had the dual mode steering calibration (steering gets higher effort when in Comp mode).

2012/13 had small pup cats added into the X-pipe. (no HP change -- just a little more quiet, at least to my ears)

So let me ask my fellow experts. 1)What would one pay for a 2010 9300 mile stick 3LT GS coupe with chrome wheels ...2) and a 2013 10700 mile stick GS with nav and black whels and the optional spoiler.??

Sorry, I don't have a feel for $$s, because it varies so much around the country, but if it were me, the universal advice out here is "buy as new a year as you can afford".

Having said that, I would only personally really do that, if I planned on keeping it for a long while, as I'm doing with my 2011 (I got it in 2011, and plan on having it for a few more years).

I would look at all of the internet sites for similar sales, and this time of year, I would offer a few thousand less than the listed prices. If you can afford to wait, and are willing to risk losing a couple before you get one, you will end up with the best price that way.

But in the end, you will forget about price pretty soon after you buy it and start enjoying it.

Meaning, if you find the one YOU really want, don't get super hung up on price, just pay a fair price and get it

I'd get the '13. Newer is better sometimes. This is one of those times.

I thought you bought a c7?

I did. I haven't stopped missing the GRAND SPORT though. Although the C7 has some nice features,it's not as radical a departure as they make it out to be.At least in my eyes.Yes,it's got the carbon fiber and aluminum frame and the HUD is pretty cool, along with the hood vents...but that's about it. I haven't notice a big difference in power or handling. Matter of fact,I added z51 sways to my car to help it along. The NAV still looks like an 80's video game, although a slightly better look then the c6 nav...i don't really care about all the other techno radio stuff..at the end of the day,i turn it on and listen to music-1 song at a time. I do love the car oddly enough, but it "ain't no" GRAND SPORT! Maybe had it been a Z51 things would be different.

Go with the 13. If you like comfort on long trips, the seat upgrade can't be beat. I have driven a couple of 16 hour trips and no issues. I could still function when I got out of the car. And, you are looking at 3 model years newer.

If both are in excellent condition. I would say around $38,500 for the 2010 and $43,000 for the 2013.

2012 and 2013 have 9-speaker Bose system - modest improvement over the 7-speaker system

2012 and 2013 have upgraded seats - noticeable improvement in my opinion

Wait so you sold the C7 or you're trading it back for another grand sport?

I would think since you already made the big jump to the C7 and actually want to step down a bit back to the C6, why not consider the ZR1?? And have the king of the C6's??

These seem to be pretty solid numbers based upon current market that I've seen. I'd go for the 2013 if it were me, and if you don't like the wheels, you can change them. The 2010 may have fewer miles, but it's now over 5 and perhaps 6 years old, so the while the tires may have tread depth, they really should be replaced since they are over 5 years old, especially if you are going to do some high speed/performance driving.

Can't give you a dollar figure, but three years newer has to be worth about 15% more, but not more than 20% higher unless really primo... The '13 should lose a bit more of it's value each year than the '10, but I don't think that is actually going to happen. I am already seeing signs that the late-C6 models, especially GS, are going to hold value very well.

JMO, though.

ZR1 is still out of my budget range. Also,I like taking off my roof in summer. Yes,I'm trading it back for the GS.It's a base suspension C7 I added z51 sways to. 3LT.Although it's a very nice car and I like the HUD updates, I don't "feel" that big of a difference between it and the GS I had.Like when I went for my 01 c5 to the 05 c6..Night and day between those two cars. Not so much with the c6-c7 in my opinion. So I finalized the deal today for the 13 GS like the one in my picture there <<<..It's a 3LT stick with 10,700 miles on it.Black wheels etc.

Vette_DD post with the added link has the correct information for the difference in years for the headlights and calipers, and in line with the Corvette Black Book.

According to the Corvette Black book, the Option for the headlights started on the 2011 model years. ($590.00 option)
CRO code H33 (Cyber Gray Metallic) H34 (Blade Silver Metallic)
H35 (Black)

The Caliper color option did start in 2012. ($595.00 option)
RPO code-J6C (Silver Calipers) J6D (Gray) J6E (Yellow) J6F (Red)

Congratulations on the "new" GS.

I bought my 13 GS 3LT coupe with a 6-speed MT brand new after I saw the C7 appearance and read about the DI, cylinder deactivation, 7-speed manual transmission, etc. Didn't want any of it and still don't. Also find the interior too small.

But everything I've read, on the forum and in media, has said the C7 was a much better sports car, with better ride, handling, performance, interior, technology, etc. And I believed that given its design is 10 years newer then the C6.

How interesting to read posts from someone who had a C7 and prefers the GS enough to go back to it. Very unusual viewpoint. But I still have no desire to buy a C7 so I'm happy to read it.

Good luck with the new car.

I always said if I did upgrade to the c7, which I probably will I can never say never, it'll be in a c7z ONLY.

I can't settle for just a c7 regular.z51 or not. And you actually share the same mentality as me.

Til then I'll love and enjoy my GS.

Buy my cup wheels man!! Lol it'll look great on your GS. I'll sell cheap too for you. Lol
