If I don't, it doesn't end well....I usually come or go at a 45 degree angle.

I have the same problem with my GS scraping the factory splitter and airdam because of the gutter at the end of my driveway. I ordered Bridjit from Amazon last week and i think that will take care of my problem. Amazon had it for a little less than anyone else and free shipping so i jumped on it. Do you have a gutter at the front of your driveway at the street that something like Bridjit would help the with the angle?

Maybe i read your post wrong. If it is scraps when you back out of the garage and into the driveway then this product will not help.

My driveway has just enough curve downward at the street to cause the problem,I have tried every angle and it does no good, what is this Bridjit ,some sort of drive over for a slight dip?

Yes it is a drive over curb ramp. It is made from recycled tires and it is basically a filler if you have a rolled curb at the entrance to your driveway from the street.

Google bridjit, lots of images online.

Unless you live in Florida (flat and no pot holes) and don't have a sloped driveway, you're probably wasting your money with a splitter.

Is your car lowered? How much slope to the driveway? Do you back straight out? All these will help answer the question. Is it just dragging on you driveway or do you have the same problem at other places?
I had a splitter on my C5, and it would scrape when I backed out of my drive if I did not go out at an angle. I was thinking about putting one on my C6, but it is lowered and I don't believe the life expectancy would be that good.

I have a front splitter and side skirts on mine. There done in a Hydrocarbon finish. The trick I learned from Pat from American Hydrocarbon is to install door guard molding around the bottom. Can't tell it is an add on, Looks like it is part of the splitter and side skirts. When the molding gets scratched up you just pull it off and replace it. An 18 foot roll is like 12 bucks.

If you can drive into the driveway at an angle and not scrape, then by definition you can do the reverse when backing out and avoid the scrapes. It takes practice because it is much easier to do when driving in, but it can be done.

I got at my local Napa. I'm sure in auto parts store would carry it. Make sure to get the self adhesive molding. Clean the edge of the splitter with alcohol and your good. Wont come off but not permanent ether.
