Every situation is different. Some people may want higher deductibles so their rates are not so high. Every state is different. Age is a big part. obviously accidents or tickets. I only carry comp in the winter when I'm not driving it so that plays a part too. I'm sure there are other things I'm missing as well.

I'm 55, have GEICO & 3 Vehicles (06 Corvette, 13 Camaro SS & 14 Traverse) and pay $985 every six months for all 3. All are full coverage, $250 deductible, roadside service & rental car.
Added: Nevada, 20+ years with ins. co., good record.

I'm at a loss here...is there a question....is this a request for others to post their insurance cost...is this a complaint about a high cost...or a happy declaration of a low cost?

All I can say for sure is that once USAA gets your email address they will bombard your inbox with nuisance emails, and they wont stop even when asked so F--- them, of course IMHO

I just sat down today with my agent.
I'm 64 - vette is 2013 with 10500 miles
With State Farm, I have $250 ded. and roadside. Took off Rental. It's $400 per 6 months when being driven and comprehensive and 25 percent of the liability when car is dormant.
Ky. requires liability coverage if car is licensed. My total is between $500 and $600 a year, depending on how long it stays in the garage.
Age, accidents and location make a difference

I find it very hard to believe. I'm 34, 07 vette, 6 speed, fully covered minus rental, $500 deductible, 50/100 and I pay $623 every 6 months. I have USAA. Must be because I'm from California, I guess. No tickets or accidents, either.

Not sure but this would be a more helpful thread if people would list their location; now that would make some sense...

i cant say enough awesome stuff about cincinatti. i had $6k claim on the vette for a small engine fire and they paid it with no hesitation and my rate didnt go up at all and i didnt have to pay a deductible because fire is some how covered without it.

I use Hagerty insurance on my 07 Vette. They accepting newer vehicles now as long as your Corvette is listed as your secondary car. Full coverage at $600.00 per year unlimited mileage and a agreed value of $30,000 not Blue Book values. A lot of you are paying way too much. As far as I can see about double what I'm paying.

Multi policy (homeowners, boat, RV, etc.)
Deductible
Coverage Limits
Rental coverage
Mileage limits
Roadside asst.
Claim history
Additional drivers
Marriage status
Mandatory no-fault/medical (MI)
Credit union, union member, AARP and other discounts
Credit score discount
County and city
And the list goes on.
Comparing what you pay for insurance to someone else is worse than apples to oranges. It's more like apples to elephants.

I completely disagree. I can't think of anything car related that fluctuates even remotely close to insurance prices from individual to individual.

USAA, my 2011 Grand Sport costs me $636 every six. I'm 29 years old, and it does seem like it's quite a bit more than I paid for my C5 but I'm too lazy to go back and look at last year's bills to figure out by how much.
