My vote is definitely yellow on a yellow car... I agree with stated earlier yellow and red always made me feel like a BigMac
I have always had excellent results with paint. I've done 5-6 vehicle this way and had excellent long lasting results. Just like any paint work prep is key. Everything needs to be very clean before paint. Remove what you can and paint each piece separately if possible. I chose to leave my calipers attached so I didn't have to bleed lines but it would be better to remove them. You can see the brackets I made to hold them during paint. I used duplicolor engine enamel as this was the closest match I could find to VY. I've also had good luck with caliper high heat paint.
Powder coat would be better im sure but I did mine with paint for maybe $30 total invested instead of the $300 plus powdercoat runs.
PS... I love the front lip/extended spoiler/side skirt combo on your car! I love the side skirts on the wide body's but typically don't like them on the narrow body's however yours are an exception! Looks awesome!!

The letters are flat so after the paint dries really well you can take a new razor blade and very carefully slide it along each letter and remove the paint. You can then apply clear over the whole caliper or you can clear after paint then remove both paint and clear with the razor blade... This is what I did because I did not want to wait the 72 hours or whatever it was recommended between paint and clear... Just read the can and make sure you apply coats in the timeframe directed

I did red powder coat with the white car. I think your yellow car would look great with yellow or black. Whenever I see a yellow car with red accents, I get hungry... Then I go to McDonald's...
