Got my order in from fabric gurus today. I ordered red, and my car is Crystal Red Metallic. It's a pretty good match in color so will work ... obviously doesn't have the sparkle of CRM but I don't think you'd want something like that.

I haven't installed it yet because I want to take my time doing it, but I cut off a small, maybe 3 inch, piece and stuck it in the seam. It goes in fairly easily and will not fall out ... adhesive is not needed. What appears to be "barbs" in the picture are just slits, presumably so you can turn corners easier. I haven't decided if I'll try to make the 90 degree turn on the door opening (the part that goes into the door jamb when the door is closed) or just cut it off flush. Making the turn would require a little surgery on the bead itself. The bead has red plastic around a white round stiff piece of plastic.

It looks like pretty good quality for the price. I'll decide whether I like it once I get it installed. If not, it's just a $12 mistake (counting shipping).

I got some from the OP's link, they have a local store so I was able to match the color exactly. I used a plastic trim tool to push it into the gap, which worked great. Best $4.26 I have ever spent.

Waiting for mine, should ne here tomorrow. I have the other stuff but it requires adhesion so I don't want to do that, hopefully as you said, it stays by itself. If not then the whole thing is a mistake and will cost less than $25 for both, I've made bigger ones

Put mine in tonight. I used the 1/8" from fabricguru and it was almost too wide for my car. No way is it going to go in front of the passenger grab handle. I think I like it but am still undecided. I will leave it for awhile and see what I think.

Just pressed in. It's not going anywhere unless I pull it out.

How much of it did you buy for enough to do both doors?

I used the OP's link and did both doors and a line over the tweeters with 2 1/2 yards, and had maybe 6" left over. So figure with 7'-8' you should be good.

I ordered 4 yards and have several feet left over. 8 feet should be plenty.

Now I have to decide between the Pacific Blue or Pearl Gray for a Night Race Blue with ebony interior car.

I think the darker gray will not be seen really with the black door panels.

Nope. Rubber cement dries quickly and leaves no residue when you remove it. Use a toothpick to remove any left in the gaps.

Looks Great. I had the same issue with the passenger side, but what seemed to work was placing my knee on the door to keep it in place and with one hand lift up the door grab handle while at the same time pushing in the piping

This is my {expensive} door panel modification, but I think it was worth it.

Got my last piece in today. I do like the little bit of color it adds to the inside. Probably the least expensive mod I have ever done.

I haven't put mine in yet ... been too cold in the eastern part of the country to fool with. I'll try it, and it it's too big (i.e., gaudy) I'll just remove it and throw it in the recycle bin.
