Sad day!!
Friday April 1st was no Aprils Fools joke for me, a 19 year old girl pulled right out in from of me. My boss and I were on our way to lunch.
Pretty sure it will be totaled. Don't know if I could trust I if it can be fixed. Both airbags deployed and the front bumper and frame are pretty bent.
I must also give props to Chevrolet as all the safety features of a 10 year old car worked as designed. No major injuries. I have never been involved in an accident like this before as well as the was first (hopefully last) time I have ever been hit in the face with an airbag.

That's gnarly looking...No injuries is always a good thing...So was she on the phone?....Looks gone to me but I'm no insurance adjuster...Good luck

Don't think she was on the phone, but there was a line of traffic in the right lane and I coming up the left lane and someone waved her through. She was turning left out of an auto parts store and just barreled right out without looking. I was no more than 2 car lengths from where she popped out in front of me. And I don't think she even touched the brakes.

Fortunately no one was injured, sure looks like a total loss, but good luck either way.

Drifting
Unless I'm driving on the island of Kauai, I never let anyone out anymore. I say anymore, because I had the exact same thing happen when someone let another drive pull out to cross stopped traffic. I was t-boned. It's almost as if the person pulling out thinks they have a free shot, and no longer have to yield to oncoming traffic. I get a few fingers, but in my mind, I'm eliminating any chance of having what just happened to you.

Good that everyone was OK for the most part; that looks like a goner, to bad, same color as mine also. Tough to see this happen to one of our beloved machines. Hopefully you'll be able to move on to another vette soon, GL

Glad you guys are okay -- car can be replaced.
One question -- noticed the SUV has no rear license plate -- was it on a test ride, recently purchased, or just fell off...?

"In honor of jpee"
BTW is that the other driver walking around "her" SUV? I would not be very happy about her. Just sayin'...

As to the OP's car, even in the second lane over, it's hard to argue, "I didn't see a bright, all-yellow car coming." Especially sitting up in a taller SUV. Sad to say, her car is quite damaged, too. Maybe she learned something from this accident. One can only hope.

Same comment as RC4G, make sure she was cited as being at fault. If she wasn't cited, was her car noted as vehicle #1 in the report, which typically means the car responsible for the accident? Too many times, stories can change after the fact once family, friends, lawyers, etc. get involved. Glad you weren't hurt. The car can be replaced.
Also agree with the others who don't wave cars through...have seen too many accidents and near accidents.
